WATCH: Whitney Houston’s Family Opens Up To Oprah

March 09, 2012 09:00 AM by Shayla Perry

This weekend, the much-anticipated – and highly debated – exclusive interview with Bobbi Kristina Brown and other members of Whitney Houston‘s family airs on Oprah Winfrey‘s OWN, where the late singer’s loved ones will discuss everything from their worries about Whitney’s drug and alcohol abuse to their real feelings about her relationship with Bravo‘s Being Bobby Brown star, Bobby Brown; and we’ve got your sneak peek. Watch it after the jump.

“The handwriting was kind of on the wall,” Whitney Houston’s sister-in-law and one-time manager, Patricia Houston, tells Oprah Winfrey in the exclusive interview, admitting that she knew drugs would one day be the cause of Whitney’s death. “I would be kidding myself to say otherwise.”

Ironically, Patricia also reveals that those closest to Whitney Houston truly believed that the singer was finished with the destructive behavior they had witnessed for years.

“If things hadn’t changed, but things were changing, things were really changing with her, very much so,” says Houston. “It wasn’t about the substance abuse or anything like that relative to the latter days or anything like that, I think it was more of lifestyle.

“I was afraid for other things, lifestyle more so than…. I saw her chasing a dream, looking for love in all the wrong places.”

The full hour long special, featuring Patricia Houston and Bobbi Kristina Brown airs Sunday (March 11) at 9|8c on OWN.
