At just 17-years-old, Team Blake’s RaeLynn is one of the youngest artists competing on The Voice. But with coach Blake Shelton and wife Miranda Lambert (who happens to be her idol) in her corner, week after week, this Texas native is proving that “age ain’t nothin’ but a number.” Read on to see what RaeLynn had to say about her place on the NBC show.
“Being 17 and being in a competition with amazing singers like Chris Mann and Jesse [Campbell], and all these amazing singers who’ve been singing their whole lives and being so young, it is kind of nerve-racking,” RaeLynn told reporters during a recent interview.
“You know, it’s scary at times because I’m only 17-years-old, but you know, I’ve got to think of it as, the coaches see something special in me that puts me up there with them, so I have to just be confident in that and I’m so excited to be a part of this amazing show with all these amazing singers, and I am still so blessed and I know that God has a plan for me on this show and I’m just excited to live out that plan and do what He wants me to do,” gushed the country crooner, adding, “I’m just so excited to be on this show.
“I love it and music is my passion and music is what I want to do for the rest of my life, so I feel like I just can’t wait to show America what I can do in the Live round because it’s going to be awesome.”
We can’t wait either!
