Bobbi Kristina Brown Tells Oprah Winfrey That She Will Carry On Her Mother’s Legacy

March 12, 2012 02:00 PM by Lisa Princ

Bobbi Kristina Brown, the daughter of Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown, recently opened up to Oprah Winfrey about her mother’s death. If you missed the interview, the 19-year-old former star of Being Bobby Brown told Oprah that she plans to carry on her mother’s legacy. How so? Read on for the scoop!

Bobbi Kristina Brown sat down with Oprah Winfrey last night for her first interview since the death of her mother, Whitney Houston. The 19-year-old, who described her mother as “her everything,” went on to tell Oprah: “I have to carry on the legacy. We’re gonna do the singing thing. Some acting, some dancing. It’s a lot of pressure, but she prepared me for it.”

For those of you who were wondering how Bobbi Kristina is holding up only one month after her mother’s death, she went on to confide in Oprah Winfrey: “I’m doing as good as I possibly can at this point. I’m just trying to keep going. I can sing her music, but to hear it now, I can’t. I can hear her voice telling me: ‘Keep moving, baby. I got you.’ She’s always with me. I can always feel her with me. She used to always say, ‘Do you need me?’ And I said, ‘I always need you.’”

And Bobbi Kristina feels that her mother’s spirit is right there with her, as she also explained: “I feel her passing through me all the time,” even adding: “Lights turn on and off, and I’m like, ‘Mom, what are you doing?’ I can still laugh with her and still talk to her.”

She says she is going to carry on her mothers legacy….What legacy…Taking drugs, being a boozing lush….She says she is going to sing….she will never have a voice like her mothers….All she has is the millions of dollars that she will use to get high and drink…And i am sure she will have enough so called friends around her to help her spend the fortune…Good luck young lady….I think your days are numbered too…Ha Ha

I think Bobby Kristina needs to heal first. I also think that she should reach deep down inside her heart to find her true God given talent instead of carrying on her mother’s (Whitney’s)legacy. Whitney left behind a true legacy. She also struggled with things she liked and dependent on which caused the break down of her career. Bobby Kristina needs to take another direction.
