Chris Harrison on Ben Flajnik’s “Darker” Season of The Bachelor

March 12, 2012 09:00 AM by Shayla Perry

The Bachelor‘s Chris Harrison says that every season of the ABC reality show has “its own feel,” and Ben Flajnik‘s has been “edgy, controversial and definitely not warm and fuzzy.” That’s the season he’s describing, not Courtney R.. What else does Harrison have to say about the show, tonight’s season finale, and his thoughts on whether or not Ben was really looking for love or not? Keep reading to find out.

“It doesn’t compare at all to other seasons. It’s more competitive, darker and has raised a lot of debate and outrage from viewers,” Harrison tells People magazine of Ben Flajnik’s season of The Bachelor. “Ben was taken aback by the public outcry and the anger he’s faced. The Courtney thing was not easy for him to endure.”

Despite all the drama both on and off camera, Chris Harrison is confident that Flajnik has happy days ahead with his new love. Just how many days remains the million dollar question.

“For him to go through so much trouble and pain, unless he’s a masochist, definitely leads me to believe he wants to find love,” says the reality TV host. “A lesser guy — or a guy who didn’t care — would have checked out a long time ago. But he fought like hell the entire time and ended up with a final two he really connected with and cared about.”

So how will it all end? Will Ben pick Courtney or Lindzi? Is the couple still together?

Tune in to the season finale of The Bachelor tonight at 8|7c on ABC to find out! And don’t forget to catch the “After The Final Rose” Special immediately following the show at 10|9c.
