What started with 14 contestants is now down to the final three. The successful second season of Face Off comes to an end tonight as Ian, Rayce and RJ battle it out for the top spot. In addition to having the title as champion of Face Off, the winner also walks away with $100,000, a year’s supply of Alcone makeup products and a 2012 Toyota Camry Hybrid. But most importantly, they will have earned the coveted widespread exposure to help launch their career in the special makeup effects business. What is in store for the finale? Read on to find out!
For the final task, the three remaining artists are allowed to select three previously eliminated contestants to join them in the last competition. After making their selections, here’s how the final three pair up for the last task: Ian has Tara, Matt and Sue; Rayce has Heather, Jerry and Miranda; RJ has Beki, Athena and Brea. The only two contestants missing from this final task are Greg and Nix who were booted in the first two episodes.
Ian, Rayce and RJ must use their teams to create three original characters from a specific genre — horror, science fiction or fantasy. Those creations must then perform in a choreographed dance routine in front of hundreds at the historic Alex Theatre in Los Angeles.
On top of all that, the artists are all thrilled to learn they’ll have the chance to consult with Academy-award-winning makeup legend, Michael Westmore, who also happens to be the host’s father.
