Donald Trump Denies Sponsor Backed Out Of Celebrity Apprentice

March 16, 2012 08:00 AM by Lisa Princ

Celebrity Apprentice‘s Donald Trump Jr. recently posted some controversial photos of a big game hunting trip that angered one of the show’s sponsors, leading them to claim that they would not give the show another dime. Now, Donald Trump says that is not true and none of his sponsors have backed out. Read on for the scoop!

After Donald Trump Jr. and his brother, Eric went on a hunting safari in Zimbabwe last year, Donald Trump Jr. posted some controversial photos of the trip which outraged some wildlife enthusiasts, and even some of Celebrity Apprentice‘s sponsors – or at least that is what we thought. Yesterday, TMZ reported that Camping World CEO Marcus Lemonis, who has already aired several commercials during the show, was pulling out the series, refusing to give another dime to the Trump family.

Donald Trump, however, has come forward and said that is not true. While Camping World may have aired their commercials already during Celebrity Apprentice, Good Sam, who is part of the same company has yet to air their commercials, and Donald Trump says they are still on board. In fact, Donald Trump told TMZ (he called into their show) that Good Sam is not just on board, but is “very much looking forward” to their episode which will air in the near future.

Donald Trump also reiterated that while he is not a hunter, he feels that his sons did nothing wrong, and he is thrilled that they were able to feed an entire village with what they killed.

hail the trumps! hunters! oh yes, beautiful hunters who are doing the world a service by keeping animal population in check. trump even explained how their activities actually save animals and habitats and help local people. yup. killing elephants, leopards, crocs, wild buffalos to feed the starving locals. and it takes guts. to shoot these dangerous animals fenced inside a farm. yes, they are great hunters. and beautiful and strong too. i mean wouldnt you rather have the faces of the trumps on your desktop than a cheetah roaming, or an elephant mothering its infant? Nail the trumps!

I am done with the Trumps. I’ve always defended them to family and friends and I’ve watched every season of The Apprentice but I’m done with that now too. I even last nites show taped at home but I will delete it without watching it and I encourage everyone else to boycott his show too. Hopefully daddy trump will cut the sons allowances and then they won’t be able to afford to run over to africa and pay to shoot these beautiful animals and then flaunt it in our faces. I will Boycott Trump and NBC until they are taken off the air….

I am thoroughly disgusted with the Trump sons and will not watch Celebrity Apprentice anymore. I cannot believe that they shot and killed those exotic animals. If Zimbabwe does in fact have trouble with animal population control then maybe that country can find other ways to deal with the problem aside from having wealthy American men hunt the animals down! Terrible, just terrible!

I am a hunter and have no issue with hunting if it is done in a legal and appropriate manner. Elephants, and endangered animals?? Are you serious? For Donald Trump to support and even suggest that what they did was for the good of the country they hunted in is BS. If the Trumps really cared about feeding people they would use the wealth they have accumulated and help feed the poor in our own nation through charity and other means.

Donald Trump – You are fired!
