The cast of The Celebrity Apprentice had the task of producing a viral video for O-Cedar’s Pro-Mist mop! Tensions are at an all-time high on tonight’s episode of The Celebrity Apprentice on NBC. Will the women’s team win again or can the men’s team come up with a great idea? Keep reading to find out!
After last week’s shocking double elimination everyone’s on edge but the contestants continue on as they’re all working to raise money and awareness for their charities. Each celebrity contestant on season 12 of the reality TV competition is fighting to be hired as The Celebrity Apprentice. The last one standing will have the honor of delivering a $250,000 bonus check to their charity.
The remaining 13 business-savvy celebrity contestants are Aubrey O’Day, Arsenio Hall, Clay Aiken, Dayana Mendoza, Debbie Gibson, Dee Snider, Lisa Lampanelli, Lou Ferrigno, Patricia Velasquez, Paul Teutul Sr., Penn Jillette, Teresa Giudice and Tia Carrere.
This week’s challenge is for each team to light up the internet by producing a viral video to promote O-Cedar’s Pro-Mist mop. The teams only have one day to come up with their concepts, decide who will be in the video, chose wardrobes, decide on shots and film it.
Team Forte is made up of the women and Tia Carrere is the Project Manager for this task. They decide to do a tongue-and-check concept by having the women talk about “they’re number” which the audience comes to find out in the end refers to how many mops they’ve owned. Aubrey, Debbie and Dayana are not happy with the concept but go along with it since Tia is the Project Manager and has the final say.
Team Unanimous includes the men and Lou Ferrigno is the Project Manager this week. While discussing possible concepts for this task, Penn keeps shooting down a lot of the ideas. Clay confronts Penn at the table and says if Penn doesn’t like an idea could he instead suggest one. Arsenio and Clay work to try and help Lou since there is some animosity on the men’s team. Eventually, they decide to feature Lou dancing while mopping the flooring–the opposite of what people would think of when they look at him. His tag-line is, “I’m going to mop the floor with you.”
The presentation begins and both teams show the executives their viral video for O-Cedar’s Pro-Mist Mop. Back in the boardroom, Donald Trump meets with both teams. First he talks to Team Unanimous about Lou’s performance. Paul says that Lou did a very good job and Clay says that Lou gave 120% for this task. Next, Donald Trump talks to Team Forte and asks them what they thought of Tia as their Project Manager. Lisa says that she felt Tia was great however she sometimes didn’t have a handle on the task and that things fell short. Tia shoots back that she respectfully disagrees.
Team Unanimous has the better viral video and wins this week’s task. Lou receives $50,000 for his charity. The men leave the boardroom and the women talk about what went wrong. Donald asks the women who was the weakest link and a majority of them say Dayana. Then the women explode in the boardroom bringing up caddy issues. Aubrey says that as a 50-something year old women, Tia should be able to make her voice known and Tia corrects her saying she is a 40-something year old women. The men are watching on the TV and are shocked when Aubrey bings up age! Tia asks Donald if she assumes full responsibility will he fire two people again like he did last week. He says he will only fire one person this week. With that, Tia says she would like to assume full responsibility for her team’s failure. Donald Trump tells Tia she is fired. The men can’t believe Tia made the decision as they feel she would not have been fired. Later, as she leaves in the car Tia says she isn’t mean-spirited like the other women and that she is relieved she doesn’t have to go up against them again.
