Throughout the pre-taped Blind Auditions and Battle Rounds of The Voice, NBC has been able to censor the many expletives that have come out of Adam Levine‘s mouth, but what happens next week when the show goes Live? The Maroon 5 rocker has an idea to keep his “dirty mouth” under control and help out a good cause in the process…a swear jar!
“I have a dirty mouth,” Levine, 33, tells People in the magazine’s latest issue. “I curse a lot and I want to try to contain that a little bit.”
Definitely something he’ll want to do in time for next week’s Live shows, but don’t worry…Adam has an idea that may help him and his fellow coaches – Blake Shelton, Cee Lo Green, and Christina Aguilera.
“I’ll have a little curse jar next to me,” says Levine. “Every time we say a bad word, $100 goes to charity. It will help us, it really will. Because we’ll end up giving a lot!”
We’re sure the hefty fines handed down from the FCC will help, too.
Shelton, who appears alongside Levine on the cover of People, is all for his buddy’s plan.
“I like that. I’m agreeing to it,” says Blake. “I will sign up!”
Will Adam Levine’s swear jar actually make an appearance during the Live shows?
Tune in Monday, April 2nd to find out. And don’t forget to watch Voice coach Blake Shelton as he hosts the Academy of Country Music Awards on April 1st!
