Reality star? Yes. Celebrity? Not so much. At least that’s how E!‘s Kendra Wilkinson Baskett sees herself. According to the Dancing with the Stars alum, living her life in front of the cameras is like making “a home video,” and getting paid to do it, certainly isn’t something that she takes for granted.
“I never ever see myself as a celebrity or famous so I poke fun at that,” the former Girls Next Door star tells People while hosting MGM Grand’s Wet Republic pool party on Friday (March 23). “I just say what I do. I have no talent. I have nothing to offer.”
Though she enjoys letting the world into her home on her E! reality show, Kendra, Wilkinson understands that in the entertainment business, things can be taken away easily.
“I live my life on TV — it’s like a home video,” the 26-year-old mom-of-one says of her current show. “I’m very aware of what I do and I’m very aware of how quickly my career could end. Every season I cross my fingers and hope the show gets picked up, but it’s out of my hands and in my fans’ hands.”
While she won’t be returning to E!, Wilkinson will be continuing to document her life with hunky hubby Hank Baskett and their son, Hank IV on a new series — Kendra on Top, which will air on WE this summer.
