Things just aren’t getting much better for Bobby Brown. Days after being pulled over by police for talking on his cell phone while driving and being charged with a DUI, Bravo‘s Being Bobby Brown star and the ex-husband of the late Whitney Houston is now facing jail time as a result of the incident. On Wednesday (March 28), 43-year-old R&B singer Bobby Brown was formally charged for driving with a suspended license, along with two DUI-related counts stemming from his March 26 arrest in California.
According to Billboard.com, at the time of his arrest, when he failed to pass the field sobriety test, the “Humpin’ Around” singer’s blood alcohol level was over .08 percent.
If convicted on the DUI counts — both misdemeanors — Brown could end up spending up to six months in jail.
“Mr. Brown is taking this matter seriously, and an investigation is under way,” Bobby’s attorney, Tiffany Feder told the press prior to the her client being formally charged, denying that he was driving unsafely when he was pulled over by police officers. “The legal process shall run its course.”
