Finally some good news for Bobbi Kristina Brown! After the untimely death of her mother, Whitney Houston, and her father’s recent arrest, the 19-year-old has something to celebrate. Brown has just signed on for Tyler Perry’s newest TBS sitcom, For Better or Worse. But with her only TV experience being her appearances on Bravo‘s Being Bobby Brown over 10 years ago, how did Bobbi Kristina end up getting a gig in Hollywood?
A rep for the Houston family confirms that Bobbi Kristina Brown will be starring in Tyler Perry’s newest sitcom on TBS, For Better or Worse.
Perry, a longtime friend of the late Whitney Houston, reportedly allowed the family to borrow his private jet to fly the “I Will Always Love You” singer’s remains from California to New Jersey ahead of her funeral.
He also spoke at the service, saying, “There are two constants that I know about Whitney Houston. There was a grace that carried her from heaven down through Miss Cissy Houston; a grace that brought her up through singing… The same grace led her all the way to the top of the charts… The other thing I know for sure, more important than anything she’s done in her life, Whitney Houston loved the Lord.”
Now, it seems that Perry is taking his dear friend’s daughter under his wing.
No word yet on when Bobbi Kristina will first appear in the show’s 35 episode season, but Radar Online reports that she will be playing the daughter of Tasha Smith‘s character, Angela, in the series based on Tyler’s Why Did I Get Married? and Why Did I Get Married Too?
Do you think working for Tyler Perry will be good for Bobbi Kristina Brown? Are you excited to watch her acting debut?
