Last night was the first theme week on Dancing With The Stars, and it didn’t disappoint! The celebrities took the theme very seriously and brought all their emotions to the dance floor. The judges even whipped out the 10 paddle this week. All the judges were taken aback at how well the stars performed, even Len Goodman! “This whole evening, AWESOME,” Len told Tom Bergeron.
So what was everyone crying about? Well, the stars used the dances to tell very emotional stories about their lives. Jack Wagner danced for his daughter, that he just discovered he had last year. Then Katherine Jenkins performed a beautiful waltz and dedicated it to her father, who died when she was only 15. The dance moved Carrie Ann Inaba to tears and she told Katherine, “Your dad is definitely smiling down on you, that was magic. It was almost like you had two partners..It was like your father’s arms were around you, wrapping you through the dance. It was perfection!”
There were some joyous dances too, but not many! Roshon Fagan and his partner, Chelsie Hightower, performed a salsa that was dedicated to Michael Jackson. Roshon’s moves had the crowd on its feet dancing and singing.
