April 03, 2012 08:47 PM by Veronica Dudo

On week four, the fashion designers on NBC’s new reality TV series, Fashion Star must show their diversity by designing high end pieces along with low end looks. Keep reading to find out which clothiers deign collections that impress the buyers!

The 11 designers include Orly Shani, Edmond Newton, Nikki Poulos, Barbara Bates, Ross Bennett, Sarah Parrott, Ronnie Escalante, Luciana Scarabello, Lisa Vian Hunter, Nzimiro Oputa and Kara Laricks.

The three mentors are Jessica Simpson, Nicole Richie and John Varvatos. The buyers are Nicole Christie from H&M, Terron Schaefer from Saks Fifth Avenue and Caprice Willard from Macy’s.

Host Elle Macpherson announces that this week, the designers have to create both high end and low end pieces. Week in and week out, the designers have been presenting their showcases to the buyers. If the buyers want to purchase the collection then the designers’ creations will be sold in their stores and on-line along with earning a spot in the competition moving forward. But, for those who do not make a deal–they’re at risk for elimination.

The first two designers are Orly and Sarah. They show their collections. No offers are made for Orly but Sarah receives a $60,000 offer from H&M.

Next, Ronnie shows his dresses; Luciana ‘s high waist dresses are featured and Ross sends out his classic strapless dresses. Neither Ronnie nor Ross get an offer however Luciano gets her first bid of the season from Saks Fifth Avenue for $60,000.

Nzimiro and Edmond both face the possibility of elimination as neither designer gets an offer but Nikki Poulos’s gamble pays-off. She gets a $70,000 offer for her high-end 70′s inspired dress.

Barbara designs a cargo vest, Lisa shows a coat and Kara shows a trendy spin on a suit jacket. Barbara gets her first bid of the season from Macy’s for $50,000 while Lisa doesn’t get an offer. Kara gets a $70,000 offer from Saks Fifth Avenue.

The six designers who didn’t make sales are Edmond, Ronnie, Lisa, Ross, Orly and Sarah.

The designers in the bottom three are Edmond, Lisa and Ronnie. After talking it over, the mentors decide to save Ronnie. After deliberating, the buyers decide to eliminate Lisa Vian Hunter.
