This week on Bravo‘s Interior Therapy with Jeff Lewis, Jeff and Jenni move in with Chelsea Lately‘s Ross Matthews, but tempers flare when the design duo sides with Ross’ partner Sal on just about everything. Okay, it’s Ross Matthews, so he doesn’t exactly fly off the handle, but you get the idea. Keep reading for all of the highlights!
Ross and Sal have been together for three years, and though they’re a great pair, their design styles couldn’t be more different.
After getting a tour of the house, it’s clear to Jeff that there’s definitely one style that’s dominating the home. As it turns out, it’s Ross’, and Jeff is not liking it. Jeff’s not liking his time with Ross at all; obviously uncomfortable with his “super gay” personality, and the way that he seems to control the relationship.
Ross wants the kitchen to be redesigned, but Sal thinks their backyard could use the work, and Jeff believes that they’d benefit more from turning the garage into usable living space.
On Day 2, FINALLY, Jeff decides to tackle the garage and add an outdoor dining area as well.
After breaking the news to Jeff and a thrilled Sal, the demo begins.
With Ross out of the house for work, Jeff decides to take on a little more, giving Sal the opportunity to “edit” anything in the house that he wants to make the home reflect his design style.
To speed things up, Jeff and Jenni bring in Zoila and they move as fast as they can to re-organize the living room.
Ross is not a fan of the changes, but refuses to admit it, and Jeff’s not big on passive-aggressiveness. Things get a little heated when Jeff calls Ross out for being “insincere,” and tells him that he’s “close-minded” and “fake.”
Bottom line: Jeff just wants Ross to be honest with him, and the two agree to keep the lines of communication open; however unpleasant it may be.
Ross and Sal head to the hotel for the last 24 hours of remodeling, and there’s still LOTS to do.
On Day 5, hours behind, everyone pulls together to get Sal’s workspace completed and to stage the outdoor dining area.
Jeff and Ross are both admittedly nervous, both worried that Ross won’t like it. As soon as the gate to the yard opens, however, Ross is so blown away that he’s in tears, and Sal is in love with it too.
