The unknown fashion designers are working to show their talent on NBC’s new reality TV series, Fashion Star. The designers must use their abilities to work together and create live window displays. The competition is fierce with all of the clothiers hoping to make it until the end. Keep reading to find out who out of the top 10 designers stays and who goes!
The 10 designers include Orly Shani, Edmond Newton, Nikki Poulos, Barbara Bates, Ross Bennett, Sarah Parrott, Ronnie Escalante, Luciana Scarabello, Nzimiro Oputa and Kara Laricks.
The three mentors are Jessica Simpson, Nicole Richie and John Varvatos. The buyers are Nicole Christie from H&M, Terron Schaefer from Saks Fifth Avenue and Caprice Willard from Macy’s.
Host Elle Macpherson announces that this week, the designers have been paired together to create live window displays to present to the buyers. If the buyers want to purchase the collection then the designers’ creations will be sold in their stores and on-line along with earning a spot in the competition moving forward. But, for those who do not make a deal–they’re at risk for elimination.
This week, Barbara Bates doesn’t make a sale but Luciana Scarabello gets a $100,000 offer from Saks Fifth Avenue for her colorful Maxi dresses. Next, Ronnie Escalante receives his first sale of the season with a $110,000 offer!
Unfortunately, Orly Shani’s shorts do not impress the buyers however Sarah Parrott gets an offer for $60,000 from H&M and Ross Bennett gets a $50,000 offer from Macy’s.
No offers are made from the buyers for Edmond Newton, Nzimiro Oputa or Kara Laricks.
The designers who didn’t make sales face the possibility of elimination. The designers in the bottom three are Orly, Barbra and Edmond. After talking it over, the mentors decide to save Barbara. After deliberating, the buyers decide to eliminate Edmond Newton.
