Interior Therapy Recap: Coaching The Life Coach

April 11, 2012 07:26 PM by Shayla Perry

Tonight on Bravo, Jeff Lewis and Jenni Pulos are faced with their biggest challenge yet. Will they be able to help this life coach tackle her own problems? Keep reading for the highlights of an all new Interior Therapy.

He thought Ross Matthews was tough, but this week on an all new Interior Therapy, Jeff Lewis stumbles upon one homeowner who’s problems just may put him over the edge.

Kelly is a life coach and a single mom of two daughters…except, with all of her issues, we’re not so sure how she’s qualified to give anyone else advice on anything; especially when it comes to matters of the heart.

Apparently, she’s still married to her husband, Armand, but they’re separated and have been living in different houses for four years. She thinks that they’re getting back together sometime soon, mostly because he continues to tell her that she’s the love of his life (and the frequent booty calls), but by all accounts, Armand has pretty much moved on.

Kelly, however, is still holding on to all of his things, which he just left at the house.

Her life is a total mess, and it shows!

After touring the disaster area home, Jeff and Jenni try to get Kelly to realize that she’s basically a hoarder, but the therapist in her finds ways to explain why that’s not true.

Kelly’s daughters know that their mom needs help, but they think that if Jeff can get her to deal with the state of the house, she’ll be forced to come to grips with the fact that Armand is just playing her, and he’s not coming back.

Jeff decides to take on Kelly’s office, which is a complete mess and covered with rat feces. He wants to be able to do something with her bedroom too, but there just isn’t time.

Kelly’s agreed to the changes, but has a really hard time getting rid of Armand’s things — shrunken heads, hair, and all. Half-way through the process, she finally realizes that most of the stuff in her office belongs to Armand, and decides to just dump it all. Girl Power!

Now the transformation can begin — both for the room and Kelly.

And as a surprise, Jeff and Jenni tell her that they’re going to help her tackle her bedroom too, which really freaks her out.

The bedroom is so bad that Jeff has to bring in the big guns…Zoila Chavez, but when they get started, he realizes that he may be in over his head.

Not wanting to sort through everything, Jeff just starts dumping it all, which becomes a problem when Kelly finds that he accidentally threw out her wedding rings and several other diamond rings and necklaces.

On Day 4, the office is on-track, but Jenni and Kelly are still struggling to get through the bedroom, with her not wanting to let anything go.

Ultimately, Jeff ends up having to tell Kelly that she needs to get professional help and soon, because even if they get through everything, months later, it’ll be the same again.

Kelly breaks down, calling herself a “failure,” but after reminding her of the success they had in the bathroom, and her daughters promising to help in the long haul, she feels better.

During the big reveal, Kelly and her daughters are floored with the new, “grown-up” space, and she’s simply in love with the recording studio that they added. The best part — screens to hopefully keep the office rat-free.

Another great design job!

Oh dear. I hope that anyone reading this isn’t indicative of what all life coaches are like! I assure you most of us are reasonably balanced human beings. The whole rat feces thing is a bit terrifying. Yikes.
