The Voice Recap: Viewers’ Choice…Sort Of

April 17, 2012 07:19 PM by Shayla Perry

Last night’s Instant Eliminations weren’t the only cuts being made on The Voice this week. The remaining members of Teams Blake and Christina were back, facing elimination once again. Who was saved? Who did the coaches send home? And what the hell is Justin Bieber doing on the show?! Find out after the jump.

Tonight on NBC….

After a performance from The Wanted, backed by the remaining members of Team Blake, Team Christina joins Carson Daly on stage as he addresses the elephant in the room — Christina’s decision to cut Jesse Campbell  from her team.

Though the other judges (and the rest of us) didn’t understand it, they all respect her for making the tough call, and Christina has no regrets.

Hopefully she’ll stand by the big decision she has ahead of her tonight, having to choose between Ashley De La Rosa and Lindsey Pavao, who both received the least amount of votes this week. (Yes, Chris Mann came in with the most.)

For Blake Shelton, it’s be between RaeLynn and Erin Willett, as your votes automatically send Jermaine Paul to the next phase of the competition.

After Ashley’s performance of “You And I” and Lindsey’s teary-eyed rendition of “Please Don’t Go,” the show is invaded by who else but The Biebs, Justin Bieber (insert the sound of a million shrieking prepubescent girls) who introduces a teaser of his video for “Boyfriend,” and announces the official release date of his new album Believe (June 19th).

PLUS, Justin will also be hitting the stage to perform on the season finale of The Voice (add Jesse Campbell and we’re in!).

Back to the business at hand….

An emotional Christina once again goes with her “gut” (and against her fellow coaches) and eliminates Ashley De La Rosa.

For Team Blake, Erin Willett takes on “Proud Mary,” with RaeLynn singing “If I Die Young.”

At the last second – literally, with the credits rolling and everything – Blake saves Erin Willett, sending RaeLynn home.
