Last night, on American Idol, Ryan Seacrest and the gang payed tribute to Dick Clark, while the finalists then took on “then and now” songs. After her performance, Elise Testone received some less-than-stellar praise for a change from the judges. After the show, Elise opened up about the comments and revealed that she feels she is “more deserving” than some of the other contestants. Why did she say that? Read on to find out!
Elise Testone may have appeared to come across as rude in her response to the judges critique last night on American Idol, but Elise says she was not trying to be rude. After the show, Elise Testone told E!: “I really want to be natural and speak the way I want to speak. I think what compelled me to do it was Jennifer Lopez said I wasn’t connecting and being emotional with my song and I didn’t want to just stand there and smile and not connect their conversation with me. I wanted to engage and I don’t discredit anything they said, I just felt I needed to explain that I am always approaching my song from an emotional standpoint.”
Elise has also been dealing with rumors that the judges favor her, but does that mean she is more deserving than the other contestants? Apparently so, as she added: “I guess it always does hurt me a little bit when I feel like all these comments are going out to all the young contestants when I’m more deserving in a way because I have worked so hard and gone through so many things to get here, but at the same time I really respect and admire how well they are doing. So it’s a bitter sweet thing. I try not to dwell on it because there’s no point.”
Seriously? Is she trying to say that the younger contestants have gone through nothing to get there? Talk about self absorbed, she just lost our votes. Who did you vote for? Comment and share your thoughts with us below!
