Big changes are ahead for Cycle 18 of America’s Next Top Model! Tyra Banks, host and producer of the CW show, confirms that fashion industry experts Nigel Barker, J. Alexander, and Jay Manuel will not be returning to the hit reality series. Who’s going to fill their fabulous shoes, and will fans still be tuning in to watch without the three judges on board?
Say it ain’t so!
Tyra Banks took to her official Facebook page today (April 20) to confirm that three of the judges who have been with her from Day 1 of America’s Next Top Model will not be coming back for the next cycle, hinting that this isn’t the end of their working relationship.
“To my Nigel Barker, Miss J, and Mr Jay: Thank you for all of our years together on America’s Next Top Model,” writes Banks. “Working with you is always an absolute pleasure. Excited for what the future holds for us.”
“Nigel Barker, Jay Manuel and J. Alexander have been an integral part of the America’s Next Top Model brand and they helped turn this show into the household name it is today,” Executive Producers Banks and Ken Monk told Us Weekly in a statement. “They have been amazing assets to the show and will always be a part of the Top Model family. We will continue to actively work with each of them on future projects.”
While there’s no word yet on who will be joining the show in their stead, sources say that Kelly Cutrone is expected to return.
What do you think of the America’s Next Top Model shake-up? Are you going to miss Nigel, Miss J, and Mr. Jay?
