This week on ABC‘s Dancing With The Stars, the contestants were introduced to the “Dance Duel,” where the bottom two couples would have to duke it out in a side-by-side dance, leaving the final elimination decision to the judges. This week, after dueling it out with Jaleel White, Gavin DeGraw was eliminated. One couple who has no interest in facing the challenge of the “Dance Duel” is Melissa Gilbert and Maksim Chmerkovskiy, but why? Read on to hear their thoughts!
Melissa Gilbert and Maksim Chmerkovskiy are hoping to avoid a future “Dance Duel” with any of the remaining contestants on Dancing With The Stars, as Maksim feels the duel is similar to a gladiator death match! “I get the point, I get the idea. I hated the feeling. It’s kind of like the gladiator thing, and we all became friends. We’re not supposed to fight each other,” the hot Ukrainian dance pro told Access Hollywood recently.
And his partner, Melissa Gilbert feels just as strongly about it, chiming in: “It’s awful. It’s one of the worst things ever.” Luckily for Melissa Gilbert and Maksim Chmerkovskiy, they seem to have a good support system that can hopefully keep them out of the bottom two. Maksim Chmerkovskiy is thankful to all the fans who have been voting, adding: “This is the first season where I feel like, ‘Damn! We have a lot of support out there,’ because I don’t feel the support in the ballroom.” Ouch!
