‘Shahs of Sunset’ Renewed For Second Season, Will You Be Watching?

April 21, 2012 09:00 AM by Shayla Perry

Ryan Seacrest‘s Shahs of Sunset has been given the green light for a second season! Not familiar with the Bravo reality show? Find out what you’ve been missing after the jump!

“Got the call from @BravoAndy this morning…Shahs of Sunset season 2 is a go!” Shahs producer Ryan Seacrest tweeted this week, spreading the news about the success of his latest reality TV hit. (BTW, @BravoAndy is Bravo boss and Watch What Happens Live host Andy Cohen.)

The Shahs of Sunset follows the insanely extravagant lives of six Persian friends in Beverly Hills – Reza Farahan (and his mustache), Mercedes “MJ” Javid, Asa Soltan Rahmati, Golnesa “GG” Gharachedaghi, Mike Shouhed, and Sammy Younai – as they balance busy careers (some of them anyway) and an even busier social calendar.

Some have likened the show’s portrayal of Persian-Americans to Jersey Shore and its reflection of young Italian-Americans, but for most, Shahs has been nothing short of educational entertainment. (Who knew that being accused of wearing H&M was such a horrible insult?!)

What did you miss in the show’s premiere season? We’ve put together some of the best moments for your viewing pleasure! Enjoy!

Did you catch any of the first season of The Shahs of Sunset? Are you excited that the show’s coming back for a second season? Tell us about it in the Comments section below. We want to hear from you!

They are not only trashy looking but they are so ignorant, I watched when they visited Turkey and one admired how in one Mosque they kept Christian symbols, moron, Turkey murdered their Christian population and turned Churches into Mosques.
With this people one proves that money or college degrees do not make an educated person.
We lived in Iran, people were so vain and shallow.
Why have such a low class show, I only watched that only episode, an insult to my brain.
