The Real Housewives of New Jersey are back on Bravo, and the ladies are back in full-force promotion mode. There seems to be a common theme in the cast’s interviews: Teresa Giudice. Yes, it’s all about Teresa, and the other women can’t get two questions in without the conversation turning to Teresa. So what kind and completely supportive things do the women share about Teresa?
Teresa’s cousin seems to have to least to say about Teresa. In the cast’s interview with Life & Style, Kathy says she treats Teresa with “kid gloves” to avoid angering her. She will be hosting a Real Housewives of New Jersey premiere party with her cousin Joe Gorga and his wife and fellow RHONJ cast member, Melissa Gorga. Teresa will be hosting her own party.
In the same interview with Life & Style, Melissa moans “it hurt so bad” when Teresa insinuated she was a gold-digger. Melissa, along with the rest of the cast, can’t stand being in the same room as Teresa, according to an network insider for the Huffington Post. An insider cast/member adds: “This season is the most dramatic yet. It got so ugly that I’m not sure any of us will want to return for another season if Teresa remains on the show. The betrayal and backstabbing is heartbreaking. I have not seen how it will be all edited together yet, but let’s just say everyone will get to see [Teresa’s] true colors.” This insider/cast member seems to be experiencing some wishful thinking if she thinks there is a show without Teresa and with the current cast. I mean, what else will the cast talk about during the other 75% of their interviews?
Jacqueline claims that Teresa has an “unhealthy need to be the best.” Jacqueline thinks Teresa is competitive with everyone and that their friendship changed when she saw Jacqueline “as a threat.” Jacqueline has taken to Twitter and other blog outlets to reveal Teresa’s competitive streak, such as an incident in which Teresa asked Jacqueline not to tell Melissa where she gets her Botox. Jacqueline has also insinuated that Teresa has stolen her business ideas. (Allegedly, creating a cookbook was Jacqueline’s novel idea that Teresa would have never thought of on her own.)
Caroline is still talking about the “cookbook incident” in her media rounds, but is admitting that’s not the only reason she is mad at Teresa. She is also saying she came to realize they have nothing in common and they were never really friends. A lot of viewers think she’s actually upset with Teresa about an incident that happened in the Dominican Republic in which Teresa may have said or done something that resulted in the Manzo boys getting into a fistfight, but that’s speculation.
While the cast has tag-teamed together on a media blitz, Teresa has been left out. Teresa is telling fans not to worry, that she has chosen to sit out of promotions for a drama-free reason. She explains to Hollywood Life, “My new book, Fabulicious!: Fast & Fit, is coming out May 15 and I need to do press for it on TV shows, but you can’t get booked for the same shows within a span of three weeks…I really need to go on the shows to promote my cookbook and both our RHONJ network, Bravo and the shows producers are fine with me missing the RHONJ promotions, they understand.”
Whew! That’s a lot to take in, but there sure is a lot of talk involving Teresa this season. How do you feel about what everyone has to say about Teresa? Do you think Teresa deserves the whole cast to be against her, or are you #TeamTeresa?
