How’s Adam Levine liking the The Voice‘s new Instant Eliminations now that the members of his team are on the chopping block?! Keep reading to find out who was sent home and who was saved on an all new episode of the NBC reality show.
Jamar Rogers is the first performance of the night singing “It’s My Life.” Once again, Adam admits that all of the other coaches “missed the boat” when they passed him up in the Blind Auditions, and Cee Lo Green gives Jamar such high praise that it leaves the soulful singer in tears.
Team Adam’s Katrina Parker is next with “Jar of Hearts.” It’s one of Katrina’s best performances on the show, but will it be enough to keep her in the competition and out of that cubicle? Who knows the way these instant eliminations have been going?!
Only the Lady Killer himself (along with the rest of his team) could follow a performance like that, as Cee Lo takes the stage for some “Dancin’ in the Street.”
Next, Mathai from Team Adam is singing “I’m Like A Bird.” (Great choice!) Blake Shelton could’ve done without Captain America flying around, but liked the performance. Christina Aguilera, on the other hand, feels that Mathai wasn’t really connected to the song, which seems to have been “force fed” to her by Adam. Ouch!
Boston boy James Massone (Lady Killer #2) of Team Cee Lo is taking on “Just The Way You Are.” For Christina and Blake, the performance is good, but they wanted something different. Adam, liked it though, which Cee Lo attributes to him being another Lady Killer.
To change the pace a bit… Cee Lo returns to the stage, reuniting with Goodie Mob to perform their new single, “Fight to Win.”
Fighting to win tonight is Team Adam’s Tony Lucca, who plans on using Christina’s harsh critic to help shape his performance. So what is he doing? A song from one of his fellow Mouseketeers; Britney Spears‘ “Hit Me Baby One More Time.” Take that, Christina!
It’s a hit, and both Tony and Adam get much respect from Blake Shelton for the smart song choice.
Cheesa is taking a chance tonight with Whitney Houston‘s “I Have Nothing.” Oh, Cheesa. You’ve got something alright. Getting a standing ovation from all of the coaches, Cheesa does exceptionally well with the “grown woman song.”
Up next, Team Adam’s Pip (minus the bowtie), singing “Somewhere Only We Know.” There were a few bad moments, but he still does okay. Could Pip be the one getting eliminated?
Before we find out, he joins Adam and the rest of the team with “Instant Karma.”
The final performance of the night is from Team Cee Lo. Juliet Simms is singing “Crying.” Another great one from the rocker, that we’re sure guarantees her a spot in next week’s show.
So who goes home?
It’s a terribly difficult decision, but Cee Lo Green decides to instantly eliminate James Massone, and for Team Adam, it’s Pip.
