Boobies. Boobies. Boobies. Tonight’s episode of Ghost Hunters was all about boobies. OK, not the boobies you’re thinking about, but a place by the name of Bube’s Brewery (pronounced like “boobies”). If you have the mind of a 12-year-old, there’s no way you didn’t get the giggles hearing the TAPS team constantly say “boobies.” Even they were laughing about it on the way to the brewery. What spooky evidence did they find? Was it enough to scare your bra off? Read on to find out!
Checking Out Boobies, er, Bube’s
The first of two investigations in the episode took the team to the silly sounding brewery in Mount Joy, Pennsylvania. The current owner wanted to know if the paranormal activity inside the building was from former boobies, I mean, her relatives. Some of the eerie reports came from guests who felt threatened. One of the bar managers claimed seeing a male entity run through the room wearing a long coat. Even weirder, a bartender said he had a bottle thrown at him.
Bube’s Brewery wasn’t just a place to throw back a beer or five, it was also a hotel. There was said to be a young spirit who identified herself as Emily. Most uniquely, the building has creepy catacombs 43 feet beneath the street to keep the beer at a cool temperature. That’s where several girls claimed their hands and hair had been touched.
Once the investigation started, the paranormal activity started almost immediately. Jason and Grant had lit several lanterns since reports said they would be blown out on their own. As they returned to the room a short time after lighting them, one of the lanterns had gone out. “It blew our mind (Blew our mind… get it?) just because anything that could have blown that lantern out should have blown the other one out,” Grant said. “The lantern still had plenty of oil, it had the glass top on it, so there’s no reason for that to have gone out.”
Upstairs on the second floor, Britt and Adam were having a bizarre encounter with a spirit that definitely wanted to communicate. Each time they asked it a question, one of their detectors started chirping right on cue. Very cool.
The best moment of the entire investigation came when several TAPS members heard the sound of a glass falling. Although the sound was clearly captured on several cameras, there was no glass to be found behind the sound.
Upon reviewing the evidence, Britt found a voice that he believed was speaking in German. He translated it and found the spirit was likely saying “blow it out,” which references the lantern that went dark all by itself. Do you believe?
The second investigation in the episode took place at the Boston House in Reisterstown, Maryland — an 18th century farmhouse. This location was home to a pregnant woman and her husband who felt like there was a spirit with negative energy. The woman said she had a scratch appear on her hand one day where it felt like something had been touching it.
During their tour of the house, the boobies theme continued because the woman oddly stood right in front of a bunch of bras hanging in one of the rooms. Not to be a boob, but wouldn’t you put that stuff away if a national television show is coming to film at your house? Just saying…
While the guys heard some creepy sounds like footsteps on the staircase and captured a few EVPs that were slightly interesting, this investigation was lackluster compared to the first one. After all, there’s no way you can beat what comes from boobies, excuse me, Bube’s Brewery.
What did you think of tonight’s investigations? Were you laughing at the constant boobies references? Do you hate me for all of the booby references in this recap? Did the TAPS team capture any evidence you believe is proof of the paranormal? Sound off and leave a comment below!
