Celebrity Apprentice Recap: Jingle Time

April 29, 2012 08:39 PM by Veronica Dudo

The celebrities’ true colors come out tonight on this week’s episode of Celebrity Apprentice. With just six celebrities remaining in the reality TV competition airing on NBC the contestants actually turn on one another in an effort to win! Both teams implode during their tasks when Dayana Mendoza and Arsenio Hall take charge. Keep reading to find out what sparks the downward spiral!

All of the contestants are working to raise money and awareness for their charities. Each celebrity contestant on season 12 is fighting to be hired as The Celebrity Apprentice. The last one standing will have the honor of delivering a $250,000 bonus check to their charity. The remaining six business-savvy celebrity contestants are Aubrey O’Day, Arsenio Hall, Clay Aiken, Dayana Mendoza, Lisa Lampanelli and Teresa Giudice.

The task this week is to create a 90 second jingle for Good Sam’s Roadside Assistance program and to perform it in front of an audience. All season viewers have been hearing awful statements about Dayana, the beauty-queen. Basically, her team mates have been calling her “stupid” but she has escaped being fired week in and week out. Dayana’s biggest critic has been Lisa who loses it tonight while working on their task.

The drama begins for Team Forte–made up of Clay, Lisa and Dayana–as soon as Dayana takes charge as the Project Manager. The three try to decide what genre of music they will be using but need to help Dayana understand sounds from previous eras. Clay quickly loses his patience while helping Dayana and says he finally understands why everyone else has complained about her. After Dayana makes remarks about Clay’s singing, Clay says to the viewers that Dayana’s singing sucks so she shouldn’t tell him how to sing.

After deciding to do a 1960′s jingle the team members struggle with writing lyrics. Dayana tries to help but some of her suggestions aren’t received well by her other team mates. Dayana advises Lisa to be “cuter not so scary.” When Donald Trump Jr. shows up to check on the team, Dayana starts to tell him that Clay wrote the song and Lisa is loud. Lisa flips out saying how much she writes and works to help her team.

Later, Clay has a meltdown when Dayana asks him to stand on a different side of the stage. Clay says he can’t believe Dayana would tell him how to stage a number when he does it for a living. Finally, Team Forte pulls it together and executes their presentation which is a 1960′s radio broadcast with the Good Sam mascot.

Meanwhile, Team Unanimous–made up of Aubrey, Teresa and Arsenio–are dealing with their own issues. The Project Manager for this task is Arsenio. Their concept is to use a modern themed song for their jingle. While working on their concept, Donald Trump Jr. visits the group and Audrey pulls him aside to talk. She says she has done all of the creative work on her projects and totally throws Arsenio under the bus!

Team Unanimous presents a story of a couple whose car breaks down and decides to use their mobile app to get help. After doing that, the Good Sam mascot, a band and cheerleaders show up for a song and a dance. Shockingly, Teresa hasn’t been involved in much drama this season and says she is really worried this week because Arsenio and Aubrey have been fighting.

In the boardroom, the drama continues to unravel with both teams. Dayana says Lisa has a temper and is disrespectful. Lisa says simply that Dayana didn’t have the expertise to take on this task. Dayana tries to answer when Lisa continues to cut her off and Dayana tells Donald Trump that this is what she deals with. Lisa says she has a problem when people lie and tells Dayana she is ready to thrash out their differences anytime. Dayana says she can’t lead her team because they don’t respectful her. Then Aubrey buts in saying that, a leader should be able to lead anyone.

Donald Trump notes how interesting it is to watch Dayana sitting in the boardroom calm, cool and collective when Lisa is going crazy. Donald Trump reveals that the executives liked Arsenio’s presentation better therefore he will get $45,000 for his charity.

With Team Forte facing elimination Dayana, Lisa and Clay stay in the boardroom. With both Clay and Lisa saying Dayana should be fired, Donald Trump ultimately agrees and fires Dayana Mendoza.

Lisa Lampanelli is very rude and obnoxious and I cannot understand why someone of her character is a “celebrity.” It was obvious early on that Dayana would be going home if her team lost, though I thought their jingle was superior to the other team. The showdown will most likely be between Aubrey and Lisa, who claim to be friends but we’ll see how they pit against each other. Neither has any real moral character- I guess in this game all that matters is how ruthless one can be.

As a female business woman, I am shocked at the way Lisa Lampanelli handles herself and treats others on her team. She does not represent how successful women conduct themselves and her treatment to Dayana Mendoza was disgraceful. She should be voted off but at the same time she should be scolded by Mr. Trump as he needs to put her in her place. She apparently does not like attractive women and was threatened by Dayana from the beginning.

Lisa Lumpenelli is evil. Diana tried to get the team to add more contemporary “non-safe” elements and both Clay and Lisa thought she was crazy to suggest such a thing. HOrrible choice to fire her and not Lisa. and Clay should be ashamed of himself also. If Aubrey or Lisa wins this I will never watch the show again.

I have had about all I can take of Lisa L. No more of The Apprentice for me.

I have been watching CA since the beginning and I do not understand why Lisa is allowed to verbally abuse her team members. With all the children’s charities they are supposedly fighting for, why would we want to show our children that her abuse to Dayana and before her it was Lou is acceptable. Why hasn’t Mr.Trump or his adult children, step up and say that is inappropriate when Lisa is on a rampage about how stupid someone is. Very disappointing. I will go back to the Good Wife. Thank you for listening.

Yes, Lisa has a bad temper but she’s also very passionate about what she does and I agree with Dayana being fired for the way she accused Lisa of being “loud” which she was not until Dayana brought it up. And Clay Aiken had every right to get upset with her because singing is what he does for a living and Dayana had her gall to tell him how to stand on a stage. She had no business being the project manager and Lisa and Clay were perfectly justified in their bad feelings toward Dayana. Good riddance, “Miss Universe.”

Everyone’s comments above regarding Lisa are spot on. Aubrey is equally disgusting. It’s always her way or the highway. She doesn’t have respect for others or their ideas. I can absolutely understand how difficult it must be to be working with her. Let’s see a showdown between Lisa and Aubrey. That might really bring the boxing gloves out. It would be a travesty if one of those two won CA. They are not good role models for businesswomen.

this is a sick woman .. and the donald is letting her abuse everyone for ratings …
what is next donald? letting them kill each other on camera for ratings ..
I used to enjoy watching them try and win but this has hit a new low for reality tv ..

Lisa and Aubrey should go join NeNe and Dionne in their trailer park for nasty, classless females. Dayana is in the league the others aspire to but will never attain. My teens and I won’t be watching the profane abusers (Lisa and Aubrey)and the wimps(Clay and Arsenio)anymore,as none of them are role models and there are other more suitable and entertaining things to do on a Sunday night.

Dayana had the same problem Lou did. They both wanted to lead and perform but actually interfered with the process, especially with constant complaints of disrespect. On this task, Dayana’s lack of language and music skills wasted time. Her attemtps to micromanage contributed nothing to the final product.
Aubrey also wants to lead, perform and be a one person team but did have good ideas. Her closed mind against other’s ideas and contributions could come back to bite her.
Lisa’s behavior was obnoxious and personally disrectful. The behavior belonged in kindergarten, not a board room. An adult should be able to control herself and her words. The way the editing went, thought, I could see why Clay and Lisa were so annoyed with her.
Clay and Arsenio could do nothing to stop the cats from fighting. They did their best to do what they thought was good so the show could go on.

You can have all the experience in the world writing songs and singing on stage, but that doesn’t automatically mean that your opinion is better than a novice. It’s the audience that counts. Ask Clint Black. His jingle was beaten handily by a poker player who had no experience writing songs or performing. Lisa should go. Trump has overplayed her big time. I almost changed the channel last night. Boring. Aubrey should win, even though she is a terrible manager.

I cannot believe Lisa is still on Celebrity Apprentice. One would think a woman in her late 50′s or early 60′s would be mature. Lisa, however, failes to act in any semblence of maturity. When asked even the simplest of questions Lisa screams and yells like a five year old. Can someone please fire the little girl?

Quick Summery. Lisa is a BITCH! Did not like her in stand up and its time for her to get over herself. NO CLASS! Aubrey rides on others coat tails like she does in her professional life. What has she done that is remembered by everyone? Clay has to put his pants back on and take off his dress that he wears with Lisa. Love him as a singer, but lost respect when he could not understand that Dayana just was not in touch with all of our culture. Your good Clay but not great! Dayana is one classy young women and is beautiful inside as she is on the outside. You do not fine many 20 somethings that are that polished. Lisa could learn a lot from her!

I was a big fan of Celebrity apprentice, but last night was last time I watched the show, didn’t like the way Lisa has been verbally abusing Dyana from the start of this season and “Mr.Trump” didn’t do anything about it. Aubrey is not better either. Nasty trashy women….

  15. WFE53 Says:

Lisa is so rude and a bitch. No one in my line of work keep her around for a second. Aubrey would be taken out back and someone beat the crap out of her (not really) but boy would you feel like it.
First you have to work as a team and neither lady have no idea how to work as a team. Yet it is TV and Trump will keep the this show going any why he can.

Sorry Stewie, you are dead wrong. You can be passionate without being abusive. In the real world, you can charge people for that behavior. That is downright abusive, degrading and unprofessional. I must admit I thought the drama would be brought by Theresa this year and she’s been the best behaved(surprisingly) all season. I despise who is left as I lost all respect for the remainder. Lisa, Clay and Arsenio have all been verbally abusive to someone this season.

  17. Libby Says:

Theresa is harmless because she has an IQ of 12. How in the world did she get on the show? What if she wins by default? Ms Universe was acceptable considering her non mastery of English, and the world of business is cutthroat but it doesn’t take screaming to get one’s point across,. I really don’t want Aubrey to win but I guess she’s the best of the remaining group.

Damn rite. That big bertha woman, LisaC is beyond bullydog (ugly to watch and rotten inside). It’s really nothing new anymore when grown people and so-called ‘celebrity’ in a reality show Acts, Behaves and projects what true personalities they have. Drama for ratings? or organic evil human character?
Also, I honestly thinks that that guidice woman has NO Talent at all to even be there. She’s the 1 that rides everyone’s coattails, plays safe.
Nothing lasts forever. The Trumps should retain some integrety here.
Dayana handle herself very well and retain her dignified title of Ms. Universe. I like how she remained classy and matured.

I can’t think of a single thing Clay said that was not true. I can’t think of anything he did that was abusive. Sticking up for yourself is not abuse, it’s called having balls.

What I can not understand is how every week from the start Lisa Lampanelli Has been patting herself on the back for her so called creativity & work ethics & how much she has contributed to each task but what i find so hard to beleive is that the team has lost almost every task & yet in the board room no one has made light of this fact SO if Lisa Lampanelli is the so-called Brains of this outfit !!!! where are here brains because the team has lost almost every week…. it doesn’t say much for her creativity now does it ????

Lisa C appears to be bi-polar…scary woman!! It is comical that she wanted an apology from Dayana for saying she is “loud” (which she obviously IS); and she found NO compulsion to apologise to
Dayana for calling her a f…ing bitch or “nothing from the neck up”, or the other abundance of rude and classless comments. Dayana
was never going to be the “Celebrity Apprentice”; but I SO appreciate her “class”, and her consistent effort to make this about “charity.”

  22. Joe Says:
    May 5th, 2012 at 11:14 am

Lisa Lampanelli is a very poor excuse for a human being. Mr Trump even said it “respect is earned.” Lisa expects respect from everyone yet she give no respect to anyone. She is out of her league on this show and so is Clay and Aubrey. I never thought I would see Clay be such an ugly person but he was completely disprectful as well. I look at him in a completely different light. Neither Lisa, Aubrey or Clay deserve to be called celebrities. They all have a lot to learn about respect and humanity. Diana was amazing and Lisa was just jealous because she was smarter and more beautiful than her. She kept saying how she “liked” Aubrey so if she was really the professional she claimed to be then she would set aside her personal feelings and just get the job done but she is too immature and too arrogant for than and so is Aubrey and Clay. Those two have had too much plastic surgery so their vision of reality is shall we same “altered.” If either of them win I am done with the apprentice because they do not respresent what it is about in any way.

  23. Arthur Ramos Says:

Its simple Boycott Lisa’s CHARITY and send a statement not to TOLERATE BULLIES! and tell Mr. Trump to stop all the snide bickering and make this about charity!
Dayana is a victim of female envy… after all she is beautiful and intelligent with some talent! She is Miss Universe!!!
My message for Lisa don’t quit your day job cause you ain’t selling books either! It will be New Yorks cellar dweller!

Any owner or boss who allows the temperment of Lisa is worthless. I have a hard time believing Donald allows this in his real life buisiness practices. The sad thing is, this is exactly what teaches people and kids to be disrespectful. I have 3 kids and all of them listen to me very well. They are also very polite with manners. Frankly, I’m sick of watching parents and people today. It shows that my generation didn’t listen to the values the generation before us tried to teach. Somewhere along the line it was lost. The fact is, we don’t know what Dayana really knew or could contribute because all of the people under her wouldnt listen to her. micro manage or not, if it’s your manager….YOU LISTEN! If the managers ideas are bad, let them fail, but ALWAYS do what you are told. Everyone needs to stop thinking they know more and that they have the answers, and actually let the leaders lead. That is how you follow, and earn the respect to lead yourself.

I quit watching the show weeks ago because of Aubree and LIsa. I watch TV for enjoyment and love watching reality competition shows. But when it comes down to bullying or rudeness, I am out. When a person can not make a statement without being interrupted by Lisa and Aubree screaming over everyone else and defending only each other, the show loses any value for me. I am very surprised Trump kept Lisa after her racists remarks. It shows me he finds humor in her racism. Now I know there is no reason for me to watch his show at all in the future. Racism is ignorance and immoral.
