Last week on Dancing With The Stars, the elegant Gladys Knight was sent packing after Motown Week, when she failed to impress during the dance duel. This week we watched the remaining contestants take on Classical tunes, but who won the voters? Read on to find out which star was eliminated tonight!
Dancing With The Stars kicked off the results of Classical week with an encore performance of Maria Menounos and Derek Hough’s Paso Doble from last night. Seriously, did we need to see this extremely overrated performance again? Immediately, it was time for some results, and Katherine Jenkins looked like she was about to cry waiting for her results, but luckily she would be sticking around for another week with Mark Ballas, as were Cheryl Burke and hunky William Levy. Despite their horrible costumes last night (that made me want to claw my eyes out when I saw them again tonight), Donald Driver and Peta Murgatroyd were also deemed safe!
The stage was then smoking with a high energy routine to Flo Rida’s Good Feeling, and then it was time for more results. What did the voters think of Melissa Gilbert and Maksim Chmerkovskiy, Jaleel White and Kym Johnson, Roshon Fegan and Chelsie Hightower, as well as Derek Hough and Maria Menounos? We’d have to wait as eliminated contestant, Gavin DeGraw took the stage for a performance of what he does best – sings! Gavin proved that he is definitely cut out for singing and not dancing.
After a review of their performances, Maria and Derek were sent to safety, which did not surprise anyone. What did surprise everyone was that Melissa and Maks, despite their horrible judges scores, were safe as well! That meant that both Roshon Fegan and Jaleel White would be battling it out in the dreaded dance duel. Both of these guys have been there before, and before the performance, Jaleel White referred to Len Goodman as: “the old guy outside of the grocery store who won’t give the kid any money for candy,” when asked about Len’s reaction last night hinting there may be trouble for Jaleel.
Wow, as Jaleel White and Kym Johnson, and Roshon Fegan and Chelsie Hightower hit the stage for the dance duel, I could tell it was going to be a tough one for the judges as they two guys both did a wonderful job. So glad that I did not have to choose because I would not be able to. What did the judges think? They agreed that they were both great, but it was a unanimous vote that Roshon Fegan and Chelsie Hightower were being saved. That meant that Jaleel White and Kym Johnson were heading home! We’ll miss Urkel every week on Dancing With The Stars!
