Bobby Brown has been making headlines since the death of his ex-wife, Whitney Houston, back in February. Though we heard about DUI’s and family squabbles, we never really heard Bobby’s feelings about the late and great singer. Recently, the former Being Bobby Brown star opened up about his feelings for Whitney Houston, and his thoughts on her death. Read on to hear what he had to say!
“I had 14 beautiful, beautiful years with that woman. I can honestly say that, I love that woman with everything that I am. And I believe she loved me the same way,” Bobby Brown revealed to Matt Lauer this morning on The Today Show.
Despite all the rumors that suggest Bobby Brown was the one who got Whitney Houston hooked on drugs, Bobby denied those allegations, explaining: “I smoked weed, I drank the beer, but no, I wasn’t the one that got Whitney on drugs at all. I worried about it when we first got together…until I tried it. And when I tried it, for some reason, I have an addictive personality.” Hmm, sounds like he is placing the blame for his addiction on Whitney – doesn’t it?
While Bobby Brown is unsure how everyone can place the blame on him, one thing he is certain of is that he wishes he could have done more to help Whitney, but he thought she was headed in the right direction. Bobby Brown explained: “Everything about her was going upward. She had this glow about her that was incredible. I was thinking to myself, ‘She must be doing very well.’”
