The Voice on NBC has had a stellar second season, and as they head into the season finale next week, folks are already thinking about future seasons. Will the judges stick around? Cee Lo Green revealed that he would like to stick around as long as the show is exciting to him! Read on for more…
Yes, we know, no one is safe as a judge on any show, I mean, just look at American Idol and The X Factor as past examples. But for The Voice’s Cee Lo Green, he would like to return and stick around the show for a while. In a recent interview with The Associated Press, Cee Lo Green explained of he and his fellow judges: “I would like to think that we were irreplaceable, you know what I’m saying? But the truth of the matter is, we’re still working-class artists and artists can be very fickle. I would like to be here as long as it’s fresh and new and exciting and fun for me.”
While rumor has it that all four mentors have signed deals to return for at least one more season, he considers the gig “a day job,” and knows that NBC could have plans to replace anyone at any time, but he is happy with it for now. What else is in Cee Lo’s future? He went on to reveal: “I have a song for Blake Shelton that I gave to him. And I’d like to do it alongside him. I’d like for it to be a duet.” A Blake Shelton and Cee Lo Green duet? That would definitely be interesting to say the least! Cee Lo also added that he would actually love all four judges to get together for a tune – now, that would be fun!
