Adam Levine Explains His Strategy To Win ‘The Voice’

May 07, 2012 11:05 AM by Shayla Perry

He’s admitted many times that he has a “bromance” with his finalist, Tony Lucca, but what’s Adam Levine‘s strategy to score another win this season on NBC‘s The Voice? Find out after the jump!

If he had split his percentage points evenly last week, Katrina Parker would be going into tonight’s finals for Team Adam, and not Tony Lucca. But according to Levine, he doesn’t make his decisions based on fan favorites; he’s playing the game, and for him, it’s about “who am I connected with? Who can I take to the finish line?”

Heading into tonight’s final round, Adam is pretty confident in his decision.

The Maroon 5 front-man (along with a lot of other viewers) sees Team Cee Lo’s Juliet Simms as the one to beat. He didn’t think that Katrina could hold her own against Simms, but compared to the rest of the men remaining in the competition — Team Blake’s Jermaine Paul and Team Christina’s Chris Mann — Adam’s liking Tony’s odds, and feels that Lucca is the only one who can compete with Simms.

What do you think of Adam Levine’s strategy to win Season 2 of The Voice? Do you agree that Team Cee Lo’s Juliet Simms is the one to beat? Can Tony Lucca win against her? Sound off in the Comments section below, and don’t forget to tune in to The Voice tonight at 8|7c to see the final four perform with their coaches!

Adam’s strategy is flawed. The coaches should always base their judgements on talent and performances only because that is how America votes, as seen in The Tony Lucca / Katrina Parker elimination.

America voted for the more talented. Despite all odds (Tony’s previous fame & fan base), Katrina still won the American Vote.

If you are looking at Simms as the one to beat, Tony will be creamed. Katrina was his only shot at competing with Juliet.

I feel bad for Katrina as she really deserved the Top 4 spot. And I’m scared for Adam, b/c Karma’s real.

I trust Adam, he knows his contestants better, we only see them for a little each week. Just because you like one person better and don’t like the judges decision does not mean they made the wrong choice.

Adam completely screwed Katrina over. Tony doesn’t deserve to be in the final 4. He is not “the voice”, just a competent enough entertainer that Adam has a man-crush on. I don’t personally like Christina’s constant jabs at Lucca, but it certainly doesn’t make me think he should win. Adam is looking to win off continuing to fan the flames rather than talent. it makes for good gossip but a feud shouldn’t be the basis for keeping someone in the competition until the end.

Team Blake won because almost half of America are country fans and they would vote for Blake even though Jermaine is not a country singer.
