Lisa Kudrow may have a successful series in NBC‘s Who Do You Think You Are?, but no matter how well the show’s doing, or how many other projects she has in the works, Kudrow is always asked whether or not fans can expect to see her as the lovable, ditzy Phoebe Buffay in a Friends reunion. Will it ever happen? Not likely.
“I don’t think it will ever happen whether any of us want it to happen or not,” Kudrow tells E! News at Friday’s (May 4) P.S. Arts event for the Los Angeles Modernism Show.
“I don’t think any of us would do it unless [Friends co-creators] David Crane and Marta Kauffman wrote it and I don’t know how they could do it,” she explains.
However, there is one possibility that Kudrow has in mind, though it’s probably not what the fans of the wildly popular 90s sitcom want to hear.
“Like the Brady Bunch [movie] was hilarious because it was a spoof,” says Lisa. “I can’t wait for 10, 20 years from now to see the younger actors. I think that will be really fun.”
Kudrow’s not the only former cast member raining on the reunion parade….
Matt LeBlanc recently told Digital Spy that a reunion definitely isn’t being planned, and if it were, it wouldn’t be a good idea.
“Everyone identifies with those characters in their own way and everyone in their own mind imagines what has become of those characters,” said LeBlanc. “I just think it’s best to leave it at that.”
