Celebrity Apprentice Recap: Two Finalists Are Revealed

May 13, 2012 09:01 PM by Veronica Dudo

Celebrity Apprentice has almost come to a close but not before fans watched a whole lot of DRAMA unfold this season. From interesting tasks to shocking firings, double eliminations and even brutal fights–the reality TV show on NBC has kept fans entertained. Keep reading to find out who Donald Trump selects as the finalists in the bid to become the 2012 Celebrity Apprentice.

All of the contestants are working to raise money and awareness for their charities. The remaining celebrity contestants are fighting to be hired as The Celebrity Apprentice. The last one standing will have the honor of delivering a $250,000 bonus check to their charity. The remaining three business-savvy celebrity contestants are singer-actress Aubrey O’Day, late-night legend Arsenio Hall and pop star Clay Aiken.

Last week, the contestants interviewed with the 2011 Celebrity Apprentice, John Rich and runner-up Marlee Matlin. After taking their concerns into consideration, Donald Trump fires Aubrey!

The last challenge is for the two finalists–Clay and Arsenio–to create a 30 second charity awareness ad and then put on and perform in a variety show.

Donald Trump brings back eight eliminated celebrity contestants to help the finalists. The celebrities are Adam Carolla, Debbie Gibson, Dee Snider, Lisa Lampanelli, Paul Teutul Sr., Penn Jillette, Teresa Giudice and Aubrey O’Day. This will either be a huge help or a catastrophe!

Arsenio decides to pick Adam Carolla, Lisa, Lampanelli, Paul Teutul Sr. and his last choice is between Aubrey O’Day and Teresa Giudice. Both ladies are his former team members and both are competitors who he fought with this season. So is it going to be Teresa or Aubrey? Arsenio picks Teresa! Aubrey is the last former contestant to be picked and she isn’t happy saying, “Haters are hating once again.”

Aubrey even goes as far as calling Arsenio dirt!! A friendship doesn’t look to promising for these two. Aubrey didn’t stop there saying she will now step up her game to impress everyone and added some choice words for the finalists, “Those mofo’s will think about picking me last!”

Meanwhile, Clay selects Debbie Gibson, Penn Jillette, Dee Snider and (sort-of) Aubrey O’Day. Basically, Arsenio’s team is focused on comedy and Clay’s team is musically based. While working on Clay’s team, Aubrey says, “I’m starting to see the appeal of Clay –and I can’t even believe I just said that.” They decide to film their charity ad in a park in New York. They want to show the inclusion of children while playing for Clay’s charity–National Inclusion Project. When they set out to find a park the task becomes very challenging. Eventually, they found the right patch of green grass and shoot the ad with the kids. Back in the event space Clay has been waiting for a sketch from Debbie’s family member who is going to put murals up on the walls for Clay’s big event. Clay specifically says he would like to see it before she puts it up but time is running out.

Arsenio wants to create a balance of comedy and serious information in his ad. His charity is the Magic Johnson Foundation. They want to do a flashback to the 1980′s so everyone on his team dresses in crazy 80′s outfits to tape a segment. A film crew is dispatched to meet with Magic Johnson in Los Angeles to tape a video segment with him. In the editing booth Arsenio and Adam are putting together the video for the ad. The video with Magic hasn’t arrived yet and Adam is getting nervous. Finally, the taped segment arrives but the camera is focused on Magic Johnson’s left ear. The camera is shooting his left side! Arsenio is really upset and unsure what to do…what will happen? Who will win? Stay tuned for next week’s live finale!

Clay is the real winner here. No controversy throughout the competition, handled everything professionally, was always hands on and hard working. Does not seem to lose his cool.

I was overjoyed that Aubrey was fired. She was sooo egotistical and downright ugly in some instances. She and Lisa both had lots of good ideas but instead of helping the team they only commented on how wonderful they were and how inept the others were. In business, I would hate to work for either. I hope they see themselves and try to become better and kinder human beings. Had they been that way this season, one of them would probably have won. GO CLAY!!!!!

In my opinion Clay Aiken should be the new Celebrity Apprentice. He was the hardest worker. I actually never saw Arsenio do much of anything. He usually just sits back and lets everyone else do the work. He actually won when he was PM by letting Aubrey do most of the work. Clay works relentlessly. He really wants his charity to win The National Inclusion Project.

Clay Aiken, so little is done for the children, here is a young guy that thinks of the kids, and that is a good thing,. He has voice that is unbelievable and he is a hard working person that goes for the kids. What ever he wants he goes for it, he is not a lay back person and lets other do things he goes for it. I am praying for him to get this. I want him to win.

If Clay doesn’t win, there is something totally wrong or set up. He shows a wealth of integrity, compassion, eagerness, etc.
I truly respect how he has handled himself on the show. GO CLAY!

I can’t believe Arsenio made it to the finals. I think it is kind of boriing. I would have liked to see Clay against a women Aubury or Lisa, it would have been fun. I think Clay win win, but you never know with Trump. Clay played the game well, he deserves to win!

I love Clay Aiken, he is professional and handled himself well especially with the pain in the a..Aubrey. I am glad she was fired!

You were second in American Idol (which you should have won) but you will be #1 in Celebrity Apprentice.

    Go Clay!!

Clay or Arsenio? Who cares!!! It is a better match up for Clay and Arsenio for nice TV since it would be an epic fail to have either of them against Aubrey or Lisa. So we ended up with Clay and Arsenio. I was disappointed in Trump for firing Lisa and Aubrey that is who I would have rather seen in the end. The two strongest opponents with the best ideas. Lisa and Aubrey!
    #epic bore

Audrey did more work then both of them and is twice as smart.

Do you remember the names Arsenio called her He would have been fired long ago in the real business world unless this is the kind of people Trump hires…..

Aubrey is twice as smart? She didn’t even understand what “transparent” meant, come on!

They’re both great, but Clay should win.He is brilliant and lovely and strong/loving.

Clay! The “true” winner of American Idol Season 2– Maybe Donald will crown him winner:)

  25. Fred Lavin Says:

Neither. This year the Apprentice should be declared closed before the final announcement.
And in the process, Trump should be fired. Yes, Trump! He is a coward with no more Logic to “his” decisions than the opinion of someone else! I used to love the program, until I saw the “politicking” in the Board Room! Worse than in Washington DC! And the lack of spine of the founder of the show.
But I am not surprised. If he cannot decide what a “Female” contestant is in a beauty pageant (which is physically obvious!!!), how can he decide on the inner values of a human being?
    How sad!
