Donald Trump And The Remaining Celebrity Apprentices’ Talk About The Season

May 13, 2012 11:00 AM by Veronica Dudo

This season of the Celebrity Apprentice, has been a crazy drama-filled one for the contestants. The reality TV competition airing on NBC is coming to an end when Donald Trump will soon select the 2012 Celebrity Apprentice. The final three celebrity contests–Aubrey O’Day, Arsenio Hall and Clay Aiken along with Donald Trump talk about the Celebrity Apprentice season and Lisa Lampanelli!

All of the contestants are working to raise money and awareness for their charities. Each celebrity contestant on season 12 is fighting to be hired as The Celebrity Apprentice. The last one standing will have the honor of delivering a $250,000 bonus check to their charity. The remaining three business-savvy celebrity contestants are singer-actress Aubrey O’Day, late-night legend Arsenio Hall and pop star Clay Aiken.

When asked who the celebrity contestants learned the most from on this season O’Day answered gal-pal Lisa Lampanelli, “I spent more time with her off- camera than on-camera and I just grew to fall in love with her. I think she has this enormous heart, she’s so smart and I don’t shy away from brilliant women–I enjoy them the most and I love to surround myself with them,” adding “I saw her as my competition in this show and I couldn’t wait to be around her everyday to see what we could come up with next.”

Hall also said he learned many things from Lampanelli, “Lisa Lampanelli, is a whole lot of women. My second favorite female on the show is Clay! No, my favorite female is Dayana because Dayana is very special in her own way.”

While it was a tough road, Aiken said he learned the most from someone he butted heads with a few times explaining, “Honestly, it’s hard to be around Penn Jillette and not learn something. He’s a brilliant mind and in every situation regardless of our personal relationship he’s a genius there’s really no other way to describe him then just how intelligent he is.”

Trump reflected back on the season saying, “I just enjoyed getting to know all of the people on the show–they’ve been great. Especially, I mean you look at the three people who have been very smart that’s how they made it. You had a lot of smart people on the show and you have three very smart ones left.”

Aiken also added that O’Day was a fierce competitor, “A lot of us especially me felt threatened by her because she was just that good and I think for so many people on the show we knew from the beginning that she was going to be the toughest competition. We knew from the very beginning that she’s the one we had to beat.”

I cannot believe Arsenio Hall is the final two. Arsenio is not a leader, he does not have a strong personality and basically is a follower. I am successful in business and Aubrey O ’Day got the short end of the stick on this one. Audrey is very smart, carries herself professionally, and basically ate Arsenio alive because he has a very timid week personality. Trump this was a joke….

I agree, Arsenio is not a leader but has a very
strong group of people leading him in this
challenge. I do admire him, however, Clay seems
to be a true leader and with an excellent business
sense. He is young and I believe would be an
asset as an apprentice in the powerful
    Trump business world.
