Tonight, the top three finalists on America’s Next Top Model are dealing with last week’s crazy double elimination or should we say one elimination and one voluntary elimination. Now, it’s a race to the finish line as the models battle to make bookings in Hong Kong on the CW reality TV show. Who will be in the top two? Keep reading to find out and let us know if you agree!
Former contestants from “Britain’s Next Top Model” and a new crop of American model hopefuls are competing for the grand prize. The only girl from America is Laura. The United Kingdom models include Annaliese and Sophie. The stakes are high as the models are all vying for a spread in Italian Vogue, a celebrity hosting gig with Extra and a $100,000 contract with Cover Girl cosmetics.
The models find out they will be working with four of Hong Kong’s most talented fashion designers for their challenge but there’s a pleasant surprise.
As an incentive, the models will make $1,000 Hong Kong dollars per booking–nice way to make bank. But first they get their choice of some lovely eye-candy! Each girl gets to select an up-and-coming male model to help them on their journey through the city. With their boy toys, the models hit the town.
One of the designers, William Tang has very different opinions about each girl. While strutting her stuff for the designer, Sophie becomes a little leery admitting, “I have no idea what the hell he’s thinking!” Next, Laura reveals her “walk” to which he says, “When she walks she really doesn’t walk straight.” Oh boy, that’s not good especially if you’re a model! Finally, Annaliese meets with him and he says, “I like girls with flare and she’s got a very special flare.”
In the end, judge Kelly Cutrone reveals that Laura booked two out of the four designers; while Annaliese gets three jobs; and Sophie books all four designers; therefore she will be featured in a fashion campaign in Hong Kong and will receive some awesome swag from the designers!
The main challenge this week is for the final three to model inside a giant “bottle” to promote the fragrance, “Dream Come True.”. The photographer is Jez Smith. This is super important as the winner’s photo will be used for her America’s Next Top Model duties. While Lara–the only American left–has been on a roll; will this challenge be her downfall? She starts playing a head-game saying that she isn’t a princess and that when she was younger she use to, “burn the heads of my Barbie dolls!” With that frame of mind she heads into the competition and doesn’t impress if client.
Sophie says that Annaliese is very strong as a TV presenter but wonders if she truly is model-material. During the photo shoot Annaliese struggles with pleasing the client.
The judge’s panel includes Tyra Banks, Nigel Barker, Kelly Cutrone and guest judge Jez Smith. The judges review the photos saying Laura’s is pretty but more sexy than sweet which is what the client wants! They feel that Annaliese’s best shot looks like an athlete promoting her first fragrance–ouch! As for Sophie they say her picture is beautiful but she really doesn’t have a “youthful” look. After deliberating, Tyra announces that this week’s best photo is from Sophie–no surprise there but who is the second finalist? Laura! Tyra says that the judges feel that Laura has the whole package–model potential and personality that stands out adding that her runway walk terrifies the judges so she has a lot of work ahead of her especially with the runway finale next week.
