Apology NOT accepted. Fans (or is that former fans?) of Shaunie O’Neal‘s Basketball Wives are still fuming after watching the blatant bullying that’s been taking place on recent episodes of the VH1 reality series, calling for the network to either pull the show altogether, or remove Real World alum Tami Roman from the cast through an online petition on Change.org. Their voices have been heard, loud and clear, forcing an apology from VH1, Shaunie, Tami, and practically everyone else involved, and from the looks of it, Roman won’t be returning for the show’s fifth season after all. But that doesn’t mean you won’t be seeing her on television….
Tami Roman has quit Twitter…temporarily. And it looks like she’s quitting Basketball Wives, too!
Days after the infamous Tahiti episode aired (and yes, there’s still more to come next week), Roman released a statement explaining why she’s leaving the social-networking platform and hinting that she’s exiting the VH1 reality show for something else.
“I deactivated my twitter for the time being because I have been blessed with a wonderful opportunity to work with phenomenal actors on a new television show,” Roman says in her statement. “I didn’t want to wake up to the continual negativity from a mistake made over four months ago, which I have openly acknowledged and apologized for to overshadow the blessing of this moment. I plan to reactivate my twitter when a formal announcement has been made about this new opportunity with the hopes of putting ‘Basketball Wives’ behind me.”
So we guess Season 5 will be safe to watch…somewhat.
Tell us — Will you watch Tami Roman on a scripted series after her behavior toward Kesha Nichols on Basketball Wives?
