Glee Withdrawals? See Cory Monteith on Glee Project!

May 31, 2012 07:00 AM by Stephanie Gustafson

Glee may have ended for the summer, but fans have not seen the last of their cast favorites. Glee Characters new and old will be showing up on The Glee Project, an Oxygen reality competition. One of the returning cast members is even a Glee Project alum from last year. Read more to find out who is on board for the upcoming season of this exciting show.

Gleeks may be upset about the regular Glee season ending, but at least they have another show to fall back on. The Glee Project reality show pits talented singers and actors against each other, giving them the chance to land a featured spot on Glee. Four Glee Project alums have already landed roles on Glee. Now that a good chunk of the cast has graduated, there will be several spots left open for any Glee Project contestants who manage to make the cut.

Seeing new blood may be fun, but there’s just something missing when the regulars aren’t around. Luckily, a few fan favorites will be serving as mentors for the new Glee Project contestants.  Naya Rivera, Cory Monteith and Lea Michele have already signed on. Unfortunately for Finchel fans, Cory Monteith and Lea Michele will not be lighting up the sparks again. They are slotted to appear on separate Glee Project episodes.

Season 1 Glee Project winner Samuel Larsen will also be mentoring the newbies.  Having already gone through the process, he should be a great guide for struggling Gleek wannabes.

The Glee Project may not be enough to completely fill the void left in Glee’s stead, but with fan favorites joining the fun, it will certainly be a treat for Gleeks everywhere.
