Kim Kardashian is making a case that even inhabitants of other continents should find her offensive, her latest effort came in the form of an insult indirectly aimed at the 900 million people in the Asian sub-continent of India.
Indian cuisine is “disgusting,” she summarized on the television show she stars in, “Keeping up with the Kardashians.”
Twitter began to buzz with responses to the reality TV star.
“I think its good Kim Kardashian doesn’t like Indian food because that means she won’t ever visit India and that in itself is a blessing,” tweeted @krishna_shah.
Another tweet: @jenannelias: “Kim Kardashian & Kendall Jenner called Indian food ‘so disgusting.’ SERIOUSLY? You don’t have to like it, don’t be rude. #gianteyeroll.”
Kim Kardashian, wife of NBA player Kris Humprhies and girlfriend of rapper Kanye West responded Tuesday with a message on her website. She headlined the piece: ”Just Want to Clear Something Up.” She wrote: “So on this week’s episode of ”Keeping Up with the Kardashians’ I said that I thought Indian food was disgusting. In NO way was this intended as an insult to the Indian people or their culture. This is just my own personal taste.
Not to be cynical, but is the Kardashian show broadcast in India?
“There are a lot of foods I don’t like,” the TV personality added. “I hate cilantro and peppers, and there are definitely some Armenian foods that I personally find disgusting, but that doesn’t reflect my opinions on other Armenian people or my culture,” she wrote. “My comment wasn’t intended to offend anybody. We all have our own opinions and tastes and I was simply expressing mine.”
