The Real Housewives of New Jersey are back tonight on Bravo, and that means we get to revisit the feud that never dies: Gorga vs. Giudice! As you all know by now, the sad part about this particular Housewives’ fight is that it is between family members. So is Melissa Gorga ready to make up with sister-in-law Teresa Giudice? And while the ladies are finally moving on from fighting about cookbooks, how is a tape now involved in their feud? (No, not a sex tape though; thank you Jesus!)
We may have heard for months (years?) that both Teresa and Melissa want to mend fences with each other, but apparently their children haven’t seen each other in four months. Melissa tells Celebuzz that Teresa is “welcome into [her] door anytime.” She says it’s time to “move on, get past it, and be a family.” She does realize that actions speak louder than words, right? That spending time talking about Teresa in interviews doesn’t count as family time? Moving on.
In the interview, she hints that Teresa is still mad at her for joining the show. Well, maybe it’s because Melissa “sent a tape to producers promising that if [the Gorgas] were cast on the show, they would do whatever it takes to get rid of Teresa,” according to a source for Star magazine. Yikes. The source claims that this was Melissa’s “last-ditch attempt to get on the show” and that she had previously befriended former RHONJ cast member Danielle Staub to try to get on the show, “but nothing worked until she proposed causing havoc for Teresa.”
Melissa has admitted that she was in contact with Danielle before she was cast on the show. Although Star magazine may not always be the epitome of truth and light, maybe where there’s smoke, there’s fire.
Finally, Melissa might trying to get in good with Teresa by cooking Teresa’s famous dishes. Melissa tweeted that she was cooking chicken bruschetta, a dish that Teresa has been cooking on a slew of talk shows while she has been promoting her cookbook. But perhaps the tweet is Melissa’s way of saying “anything you can do I can do better,” or maybe she’s implying by cooking it that it’s not Teresa’s “original” dish? Who knows with those passive-aggressive (and sometimes extremely aggressive) Jersey girls!
Do you think Melissa wants to make up with Teresa? Do you think the Gorgas filmed a tape promising to take down Teresa? Are you over this family feud? Share your thoughts, and comment below!
