Fired Celebrity Apprentice Contestant Aubrey O’Day Says “I Was The Strongest Player”

June 04, 2012 02:00 PM by Veronica Dudo

Aubrey O’Day became a front runner in Donald Trump’s reality TV competition, Celebrity Apprentice with her passion, creativity and leadership. However, not all of her cast members liked her headstrong personality including winner Aresnio Hall who had a huge blow-up with the 28 year old. O’Day made it to the final three but ultimately was fired by The Donald. After raising money for her charity on the NBC series, O’Day looks back on her time as a learning experience. Now, O’Day is concentrating on a new solo album. Keep reading for all of the details!

Over the weekend, O’Day hosted a party at the Pool After Dark inside Harrah’s Resort. During her visit to Atlantic City, O’Day dished about her time on the Celebrity Apprentice, the Trumps and her new album!

O’Day recalled her time on the Celebrity Apprentice as “hectic and really fulfilling.” She also revealed how she really felt as one of the final three.

“I never really thought that I wouldn’t get it; I knew I was the strongest player there. I thought that if it didn’t happen it was probably just a matter of politics.”

But the now blonde says she learned something important from her time working with the famous Trump family.

“I learned that it’s always good to remember that you’re playing a game and I’m more of a business person; I take things very seriously and I always believe that your work should speak for itself and unfortunately that’s probably about 20% of what really matters in this business,” she said with a laugh.

With the reality series behind her O’Day is now focusing her sights on a new album, “I’ve just been recording, I’m in the studio every night!”

The singer also talked about her new single, ‘Wrecking Ball,’ “It was written by Pia Toscano from American Idol and produced by David Hodges whose responsible for great tracks from Carrie Underwood, Kelly Clarkson, Daughtry–he’s amazing and it’s a great summertime just left your man or left your girl you’re ready to handle life and be the world’s wrecking ball.”

Aubrey needs to get over losing Celebrity Apprentice. She was NOT the smartest or hardest working person on the show…. but was the most annoying – by far. Her 15 minutes of fame brovided this time by Trump are over – she needs to start looking for someone else who will buy her bs.

Aubrey was indeed a very strong player, but not nearly as strong a player as Clay Aiken. Aiken was ROBBED! But so was Aubrey. She clearly should have finished 2nd to Aiken. Arsenio had no business anywhere near the finals, but Trump had political issues to handle, and thus….the winner was Arsenio! Such is reality TV when it’s combined with politics.

I am so excited that Aubrey O’Day is working on an album. Her song “Wrecking Ball” is absolutely amazing and its a whole new brand of music for her. I can only imagine that the album will be just as strong. I was really amazed at her vocals in the song. I always knew she was a strong singer but “Wrecking Ball” takes it to a total new level. I cannot wait to hear more. I think she did her job on Celebrity Apprentice perfectly. She used the opportunity to showcase herself and her talents and to make more of a name for herself to draw attention to her music. Smart move if you ask me. Just what I would have done if I had the chance and was working on an album. “Wrecking Ball” is a beautiful song – anyone who hasn’t heard it yet should definitely check it out on iTunes. Get us the album ASAP Aubrey!!

Notice the last 3 comments are about promoting Ms.O’Day music. Have you heard her voice? I’ve have heard better!!Rihanna, Katy Perry. Shall I go on.. Has anyone asked themselves why is it that Ms. O’Day can’t seem to keep from being fired by moguls (Diddy, Trump). I don’t think they are into porn queens.
