Last week on Bravo‘s Million Dollar Listing LA, both Josh Altman and Josh Flagg secured deals. However, Madison Hildebrand found himself minus a business partner and a sale. Will the they be successful this week?
Josh Flagg‘s newest client is Gabby. She’s a fashion designer who is hoping to score a house for lease in Beverly Hills in the next few days. Josh and his assistant scour the listings, make phone calls, and, together, they assemble a list of a few possibilities. Josh takes Gabby to look at one house in particular. Josh warns Gabby, you’re either going to love it or hate it. Unfortunately, she hates it.
Josh Altman gets Heather, his girlfriend, a meeting with a potential client, Brian. In the past, Brian and Josh sold nearly 20 million together. Brian’s newest project includes a 4,000 square feet penthouse. Josh’s hope is that Brian lets him list one apartment and Heather one apartment. Brian isn’t that confident in Heather, who is virtually an unknown. So, Brian offers the penthouse to them both, to share.
Sharing a listing presents several issues. Josh says, “Heather and I had no intentions to list together.” Listing with Heather means listing with Madison, and Josh would rather be kicked in the balls than list with Madison.
After another unsuccessful plea to Brian to get Heather (and Madison) their own space, Josh, Heather, and Brian talks prices and specifics of the deal.
Madison Hildebrand is getting ready to list the Malibu lake house. David, the owner of the lake house, reluctantly agrees to update the grounds, including a new boat dock and a fishing pond. Davis wants to list the lake house for $1,650,000. Madison warns David that this is a high price due to the economy. David doesn’t care, as he can’t get over the fact that his backyard alone cost him $600,000. He’s not willing to list any lower. Madison thinks the price is too high.
Madison has a very successful Broker’s Open for the lake house. The common complaint about the listing is how much work needs to be done to the house compared to the listing price. So far, there haven’t been any offers on the lake house. Madison tells David that he needs to reduce the price. It should be priced closer to $1.3 million.
Heather finally calls Madison with a listing. She fills him in on all the details on the penthouse. Almost as an afterthought, she clues Madison in about the Josh Altman partnership. Madison is stunned. Madison gives Heather an ultimatum. She needs to choose – Josh Altman or him. Heather refuses to choose. Madison fires Heather.
In the interest of kicking a man while he’s already down, David informs Madison that not only is he not going to lower the price of the lake house, he’s not even going sell it now. Madison loses the $5,000 he already spent on advertising.
Check back next week to see if Madison and Heather restore their professional relationship. Also, will Heather and Josh sell the condominium and will Josh find a Beverly Hills home for Gabby?
