MasterChef Castoffs Have High Hopes For Future
June 18, 2012 12:15 PM by Gina Hall
Even the venom spewing from Chef Gordon Ramsay can’t keep the eliminated MasterChef contestants from dreaming big. Last weeks castoffs, Samantha de Silva and Dave Mack talked with Reality TV Magazine for a few moments to let us know what’s up now that their brief flirtation with culinary fame is over. What did they have to say?
Samantha de Silva originally dared to don the apron for MasterChef because “a friend inspired me to go on the show…She was confident that I had the whole package.” Samantha’s friend thought her talent was wasted doing dinner parties.”
For their fans, both are interested in pursuing a career in the food industry post-show. Samantha said she sees food as “nourishment for the soul.” She wants to “help people find a purpose, doing private dinners, teaching them to entertain, doing personalized diet plans, consulting, and pop up events in restaurants. David is also interested in the pop up events and food truck revolution, especially if some of his fellow contestants would be interested in teaming up.
So keep your eyes open at your next food truck event. The cooks in the kitchen just might be your favorite reality show stars.
