Ever wonder how much the momagers and little divas on Toddlers and Tiaras earn? Apparently, the answer is nada. This arrangement is surely very beneficial for TLC, but what does it mean for the girls starring on Toddlers and Tiaras? Keep reading to find out!
Starring on a reality show does not necessarily translate to earning lots of money. Just ask pageant parents featured on the hit TLC series Toddlers and Tiaras. One insider recently told RadarOnline that, although the show doesn’t bother to even pay the entry fees for pageants, most mothers don’t mind. “The moms do it because it’s good exposure for their little girls and that’s exactly what they want.”
That doesn’t mean that all moms are happy with the lack of pay. Some viewers have speculated that the the lack of a pageant salary may have something to do with the recent absence of Toddlers and Tiaras stars such as Eden Wood. To be fair though, popular Toddlers star Honey Boo Boo has hopped from one TLC show (Toddlers and Tiaras) to another (Here Comes Honey Boo Boo). This may indicate that, in fact, presence on a TLC reality series really can spur on the careers of young stars.
Currently though, no matter how many little pageant princesses leave Toddlers behind, there are plenty of others ready to step up to the plate. And as RadarOnline’s insider says, it really is a great setup for TLC: ”They can cast their entire season without paying a talent fee. It is brilliant.” What do you think about this arrangement? Are the Toddlers and Tiaras stars getting a good deal in terms of exposure? Or would another form of reimbursement be more acceptable.
