If you’ve kept of with the ladies of The Real Housewives of New York City this season, well…consider yourself in the minority. Ratings for the Bravo show, now in its fifth season, have plummeted, and according to sources, it’s all Andy Cohen‘s fault! Why are people blaming the Watch What Happens Live host? All the details after the jump.
Bethenny Frankel may take credit for casting newcomer Aviva Drescher, but when it comes to taking the blame for The Real Housewives of New York City‘s sagging ratings this season, the Skinnygirl wants no part in that.
Fingers are pointing toward Bravo exec Andy Cohen, however.
According to the New York Daily News, Cohen has been “so busy with his burgeoning career that he’s distanced himself from the show.”
The report goes on to claim that Andy, who’s currently promoting his new book, Most Talkative, “doesn’t care if the ratings for this season tank,” that he’s “backed away from the show,” with this being the first season that he didn’t edit himself, having been too preoccupied with other projects.
But is it all about the editing (we know how much we LOVE it when the reality stars use that excuse!)? Could it be that it’s just time to say good-bye to The Real Housewives of New York City? What do you think RTVM? Are you watching RHONYC this season? Why or why not? Sound off in the Comments section below.
