The Grammy Award winning country group Sugarland recently performed at Revel in Atlantic City, New Jersey for their In Your Hands Tour. Jennifer Nettles and Kristian Bush made their debut at Revel’s Ovation Hall to thousands of adoring fans. Throughout the two hour concert, the dynamic duo interacted with concert goes and had a special guest–J Rome from ABC’s hit series Duets!
Sugarland opened the concert with Nettles beating a drum while Bush played the song “Wide Open” and “Stuck Like Glue” from their 2012 The Incredible Machine album. Followed by “Settlin’” and “Everyday America” from the 2006 Enjoy The Ride album.
A new legion of fans discovered Sugarland thanks to Nettles’ new gig on ABC’s Duets alongside superstars Kelly Clarkson, John Legend and Robin Thicke. The artists have individually journeyed across America looking for talented singers to potentially become their proteges. As a mentor, Nettles also performs with aspiring singers and had a big surprise for the Atlantic City show. J Rome who is Nettles partner this season made a special appearance!
Since he’s from New Jersey, Sugarland welcomed J Rome to the stage for a duet! Together they sang the hit “Tonight” which Nettles sang with J Rome for his first performance on Duets.
Sugarland performed their wildly popular covers of Beyonce’s “Irreplaceable” and Bon Jovi’s “You Can’t Go Home” before singing the lively “Steve Earle.” The group also sang “Baby Girl,” “Stay,” “Love,” “Something More” and “Sugarland” during the high-energy concert.
Nettles and her entrepreneur husband Justin Miller recently announced they are expecting their first child!
