We recently learned that crooner, Michael Buble joined team Blake Shelton for the third season of The Voice on NBC, and now exciting news has been revealed for team Adam Levine – Mary J. Blige has signed on his team! Read on to hear the details, and what these two had to say about each other…
Last week we learned that Michael Buble would be joining Blake Shelton as his team adviser for the new season of The Voice, and it’s just been announced that the reigning queen of R&B, Mary J. Blige, has signed on to Adam Levine’s team for season 3. The pair have already started filming together, and just like Buble and Shelton, appear to be having a blast so far.
“I’ve always been a huge fan of Mary J. Blige. So it’s been great having her on The Voice as an adviser to my team,” Adam Levine gushed, while Mary J. Blige added: “I love Adam, he’s amazing. I’m so happy to be working with him and his team.” Sounds like a team match made in heaven – we can’t wait to see these two on the new season of The Voice.
As of last year, Billboard ranked Mary J. Blige the most successful female R&B artist of the past 25 years. After she warps taping of The Voice, Mary J. Blige is set to kick off The Liberation Tour in Virginia Beach with D’Angelo. Meanwhile, neither Cee Lo Green nor Christina Aguilera’s team advisers have been leaked, but we are guessing that they are soon to follow.
