Forget the 11 new remaining houseguests. This season is definitely all about the coaches: Dan, Boogie, Britney and Janelle. Tonight’s episode of Big Brother 14 almost swirled entirely around their strategies and gameplay despite the fact they are not (yet) eligible for the $500,000 prize. It’s really sad to watch because the newbies aren’t getting any time to shine. In a season that should be their own, we are forced to watch the four veterans run the show. Instead of Kara speaking for herself, Dan, her coach, did most of the talking for her throughout the episode. All we got from Kara was a bunch of tears as she worried about her nomination for eviction. Ian, on the other hand, proved that his useless talent truly is useless by showing to everybody that he can kick himself repeatedly in the face. Thankfully we have a newbie like Frank. Instead of breaking down and crying or getting pissed and punching Willie for backstabbing him, Frank immediately took to strategy. Read on to find out more!
Frank went straight to Willie and wanted to ensure him that Boogie has nothing to do with his game other than the title of coach. He said that he is there for himself and nobody else, which Willie really seemed to like because he’s definitely feeling threatened by Boogie.
Power Of Veto Promises
Prior to the PoV competition, Kara asked Shane to be on her side if he won the golden medallion. Naturally, he agreed. Moments later, he did the same exact thing with Frank. With that, Shane had made promises to both nominees that he would seriously consider taking them off the chopping block in the event he would win the competition.
Elsewhere in the house, Boogie was testing the waters of the female coach alliance. He straight-up asked Britney if her team is working alongside Janelle’s. When Britney said that Janelle’s people are not off limits, Boogie said it would all be clear if the PoV is used and another of his or Dan’s players would be put up on the block. Britney (good for you, girl) defended herself before going and telling Janelle everything that happened.
Seeming desperate to make some sort of deal, Boogie quickly turned on Dan, his main ally, by telling Janelle they should just decimate his team right off the bat and get him out of the game. It was actually kind of pathetic to see. I like Boogie. I like him a lot. But he really does seem to think he’s the best player the game has ever seen. And his move backfired because Janelle went and told Dan how quickly Boogie turned against him. All he did was leave behind an already-disgusted female alliance and a pissed off former pal.
Will The Veto Be Used?
Imagine that. After running his mouth for most of the episode about how badly he wants to win the PoV, Shane did exactly that. Trouble is, he had tried to make himself look good to both nominees by basically saying he would strongly consider taking them off the block. And when the Veto ceremony was held, Shane listened to Britney and chose to keep the nominations intact.
Oh newbies. I wish you would play your own game instead of letting the coaches push you all around. Plus, I truly believe the coaches twist will soon be dissolved and the four veterans will be unleashed into the game as full-fledged players in a very expected “expect the unexpected” BB lame-o twist. In fact, the coaches have been discussing that very idea of being welcomed into the game as eligible competitors for the full $500,000 prize. If it ends up being true, these veterans are basically able to make all sorts of deals with others in the house with complete safety for the first few weeks. Let’s just hope that doesn’t happen. If it does, I’ll start teaching myself how to kick my own face. Then it becomes a totally useful talent. You actually might be onto something, Ian.
So either Frank or Kara will be evicted from the house Thursday night. Who do you think is the best person to evict? What do you think of this season so far? Sound off and leave a comment below!
