Basketball Wives’ Jennifer Williams Drops Lawsuit Against Nia Crooks

July 19, 2012 01:00 PM by Lisa Princ

Wow, just a month after learning that she would be getting fired from Basketball Wives, Jennifer Williams is now dropping her lawsuit against Nia Crooks! What the heck is going on? Read on for all the details!

Yes, you read that correctly. Despite being fired from Basketball Wives, along with her financial woes, Jennifer Williams is reportedly dropping the bitch slap lawsuit against Nia Crooks. According to TMZ, Jennifer recently filed court documents to end the lawsuit, with no settlement – she simply did not want to pursue it.

That’s a big change from previously claiming that the slap had caused her serious injuries and psychological damage when Nia Crooks belted her across the face earlier this year. So, why the change of heart, err, plans? A source close to Williams said that Jennifer is: “already dealing with her difficult divorce and did not feel that it was necessary to continue to pursue civil action.”

Meanwhile, Nia Crooks is thrilled that the lawsuit has been dropped and is ready to move forward. Nia Crooks’ attorney told the gossip site: “We have always maintained that the frivolous lawsuit brought by Jennifer Williams was nothing short of a last-gasp attempt to maintain her dwindling relevance on the ‘Basketball Wives.’”

Wow, what do you think about Jennifer Williams dropping the bitch slap lawsuit? Should she have gone through with it? We want to hear from you! Sound off in the Comments section below.

Not sure about the lawsuit other than to say that Nia was so, so wrong on many levels & maybe she enjoyed her ridiculous 5 minutes of fame. Jennifer, on the other hand, was my favorite basketball wife & I hated the treatment she received from the other ladies last season. If Jennifer is gone, so am I, and I won’t be watching next season. She was the one classy wife, who refused to compromise her dignity for the sake of ratings. May Jennifer be blessed!

Jennifer- I wish you many blessings. I could not stand to watch the treatment the other ladies gave you on the show. In my opinion, you were professional and you carried yourself in a respectful lady like character. You did the right thing and big ups to you for being a great person.
