The brutally honest America’s Got Talent judge Howard Stern is still quite choked up about losing his dog, Bianca, on July 17. Howard was in fact so upset about the death of his dog that he started crying on his SiriusXM radio show. He might have felt a little embarrassed, but we’re happy to see he has a soft side. Read on to find out more.
“I didn’t want to cry on the air, but I kind of did,” he told Access Hollywood. “I love my dog and that was really rough. I’m having a hard time with it and my wife is having an even harder time and we’re both just devastated.”
Howard Stern continued, “I’m literally devastated about it. Anyone who has a dog understands and anyone who doesn’t have a dog doesn’t understand, and that’s the way it goes.” Well, we definitely understand. Losing a dog is like losing a part of your family.
“It was difficult,” he said. “When I start talking about her and I think of specific things we would do together — just little rituals we would do — it gets me crazy that she’s not with me.
Sharon Osbourne, apparently, wasn’t shocked that Howard Stern became emotional on air. “I only know that side of Howard. I know his immense love of animals and we all share that love,” she told Access Hollywood. “Howard’s just — he’s a real good guy and what can you say when you lose your love, you know? It’s your baby.”
We’re very sad for Howard Stern and send him and his wife our condolences. But we were definitely glad he shared his feelings on air. Losing a dog is heartbreaking, so he shouldn’t feel embarrassed about shedding a tear.
