Well, it looks like Amber Portwood could be set free from jail sooner than we think. Instead of serving the full five years, the Teen Mom star could be with her daughter, Leah, in just two and a half. Read on to find out more.
Douglas S. Garrison, Chief Communications Officer of Indiana Department of Correction, told HollywoodLife.com that after an emotional, mental and physical evaluation, it was decided that Amber Portwood must serve out her sentence at Rockville Correctional Facility in Indiana and might be able to get out in just two and a half years if she behaves herself. Hm…we’re not sure Amber knows how to behave herself.
“She now has visitation rights and can see her daughter. There is a family visiting area center which has books and toys,” Garrison said. That’s certainly good to hear. It’s important for a little girl to see her mother.
“During the day, Amber will go to therapeutic programming which includes anger management. If she so chooses, she can get her high school diploma and take adult education classes,” Garrison added.
Wow, what great news for Amber! Two and a half years is still a long time to be away from her daughter, but at least it’s better than five years. But can she behave herself? We’re not so sure. Amber Portwood is known for running her mouth and getting herself in trouble for it. Maybe she’ll say or do something stupid that will jeopardize her chances of getting out early.
Do you think Amber will serve just serve half her sentence? Or do you think she will screw it up and be forced to stay in jail for five years? Share your thoughts with us!
