What did Ryan Seacrest suggest while tweeting his congrats to Mariah Carey? Keep reading to find out!
Fans may be having mixed reactions to the news of Mariah Carey joining American Idol’s judging panel. But the celebrities already associated with the show are more than happy to welcome the famous singer onto the show. After hearing the big news, longtime American Idol host Ryan Seacrest shared his excitement by tweeting, “Welcome to the fam @MariahCarey!! When u and @nickcannon need a date night, I’m happy to strap on the double baby bjorn.” Of course, Nick Cannon might not be as enthused about an American Idol double date, given his opinion that, by offering a salary of under $20 million, the show is ripping his wife off.
Ryan Seacrest is certainly not the only person happy to welcome Mariah Carey to the American Idol family. Idol alum Jordin Sparks is also pumped for the arrival of a brand new judge. She tweeted, “”I can’t wait to watch @mariahcarey as a judge!! I LOVE her!!”
Of course, the most important reaction to this breaking story is that of Mariah Carey! She took to Twitter shortly after the big announcement, telling followers, “It’s gonna be so much fun working on @AmericanIdol. As a singer-songwriter, I’m excited to help find and nurture new talent. LYM!”
So, do you think Mariah Carey will make a good judge? Or would you have preferred someone else? Share your thoughts below!
