Big Brother 14 Recap: Predictable Scenarios

July 25, 2012 06:07 PM by Ryan Haidet

Even with Willie Hantz out of the game, CBS just can’t seem to let us forget him.  His name swirled throughout the entire episode as his former team members and coach felt screwed since they were associated with his nastiness.  And since Sunday night’s episode of Big Brother 14 was filled with Britney’s constant berating of Willie until he snapped, Frank’s nominations were never revealed.  So to keep things on pace, we finally got to see who his targets for the week are.  But that’s not all, it was BB on fast forward because the Power of Veto competition and subsequent ceremony were also held.  So who was nominated for eviction, who won the PoV and did they use it?  Read on to find out!

And The Nominees Are…

Shane and JoJo found themselves sitting in the living room together talking about being the obvious targets for the week since they were so closely associated with Willie before he was booted from the game.  Meanwhile, we were forced to listen as Britney whined about her team feeling the aftermath of Willie.  Oh, Britney.  I wish you would wake up and realize that you were such a huge problem in creating the monster that everybody hated.  You sat there and lectured him constantly until he freaked out on everybody else.  You poked the sleeping giant and he woke up hungry.  Some coach you are.

When JoJo made her argument to Frank that she’s worthy of staying in the house, he simply told her that she didn’t support him last week whatsoever.  Prior to last week’s eviction, Frank had asked both she and Shane to vote on his side.  Since neither did, he felt like they lost their chance with him.  And, without anybody being a teeny bit surprised, Frank nominated JoJo and Shane for eviction.

Sloppy Battle

Prior to the PoV competition, there was a goofy moment as Ashley uselessly described her perfect guy — somebody who likes things like food and sleep.  Sheesh.  I hope she’s able to find somebody who can meet those strict requirements.  I mean food and sleep?  What guy likes that stuff?

Right after that pointless chatter, a sloppy memory match game with the contestants wearing giant tortilla chip costumes resulted with Shane victorious.  His win was definitely depressing for Danielle because she felt like it was a guarantee that she would be his replacement nominee.  Danielle being nominated would spell bad news for Dan because it’s his final team member remaining in the house.  If she goes, so does he.  Dan told her that if he tries to fight for her to stay in the house that it would make her a bigger target.  So his plan as a coach was to sit back and do nothing.  Great coaching.  That’s why this twist is so miserable and pointless.  These people are coaching nothing, nobody, nada.  He said it was all because he was trying to ignite a fire in Danielle so she can fight for herself.  But his game depends on it, too.  And her way of fighting back?  Going into a room by herself and crying about feeling rejected and unwanted.

A Loyal Follower?

Shane went up to the HoH bedroom and offered Frank a potential final-two alliance after winning the PoV.  Without hesitation, Boogie felt like this was a good opportunity because Shane had been so loyal to Willie.  And if he was so willing to be loyal to somebody like Willie, Boogie felt like it could be perfect for himself.  After he walked out of the HoH bedroom, Shane went downstairs and lied straight to Britney’s face about everything he had just discussed with Boogie and Frank — the first sign of loyalty toward them.

Shocker?  Not At All

Shane was hoping to work out a deal to keep Danielle safe by having Wil put up as the replacement nominee after pulling himself to safety with the PoV, but that plea didn’t work.  Frank did what was most obvious to him and gave Danielle the nomination nod.  Hopefully the live vote Thursday night will see Danielle walking out the front door because it will prove to CBS that the coach twist is totally stupid.  It will knock their cast of characters down by two in a season in which the cast is shrinking ever so quickly.

What did you think of tonight’s episode?  Who do you think will be sent packing on Thursday night?  Who is your favorite player this season?  Do you like the coach twist or are you tired of it?  Sound off and leave a comment below!

    Willie was my favorite player.
No one else is worth watching. Boring. Boogie thinks he is liked. I can’t stand him or any of the others except Dan and his player. The coaches are ridiculous. They should be passive except to advise their players not try to make them do what they want. Big Brother should come to an end. This season stinks.
